Combine attendees are engaged in an authentic sales training environment working with professional sales leaders from a variety of professional sports organizations. Athletic Trainer Quality Assurance Assistant - San Antonio Spurs (San Antonio, TX)

The full time seasonal Athletic Training Quality Assurance Assistant is an entry level position. This position is responsible for assisting the Medical Coordinator and Head Athletic Trainer with all tasks relating to coordination, management, and supervision of team practices and games including but not limited to visiting team assignments, team rehabilitation duties and analytical assessments. The successful person in this position will be educated in injury prevention and treatment, be attentive to detail, possess a strong work ethic, and be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Other key expectations include: 1) Alignment with the company's mission and core business values 2) Collaboration with key internal/external resources and 3) Ongoing self-development.

  1. Act as an assistant to the Spurs Team Physicians, Spurs Athletic Trainers, Spurs Rehabilitation Staff, Spurs Strength and Conditioning Staff, and the Austin Toros (D-League) Medical staff as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
  2. Perform basic duties incorporating the care, prevention and treatment of athletic injuries.
  3. Assist in the equipment room during peak load periods of work.
  4. Working practices and games may include work on nights, weekends, and various hours up to 20+ per week.
  5. Other Duties as Assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field.
  • NATABOC certification is preferred, Texas licensure eligibility required.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required.
  • Length of employment may depend on designated season time frames. (Sept to June)
  • Previous experience or participation with an athletic team, physical therapy/sports medicine or performance centers preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Demonstrate clear and effective oral and written communication abilities including medical terminology.
  • Individual must demonstrate professionalism, be punctual and exhibit reliable attributes.
