CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP COORDINATOR INTERN

Description: Excellent opportunity to gain corporate partnership experience with the WNBA! The Corporate Partnership Department has an immediate opening for an energetic, outgoing, and creative individual who will assist the Manager of Corporate Partnerships with the development and implementation of corporate sports marketing partnerships for the WNBA Atlanta Dream. This individual will support the Manager of Corporate Partnerships in an administrative, sales, client servicing, and activation role.

Summary: Marketing, Sports Administration, Communications, or related Business majors preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Able to meet deadlines. Detail-oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Archtics and PowerPoint. Ability to work flexible hours which include office hours, game days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements and Duties:
• Must be available for EVERY home game, and between 20-40 hours per week for office duties (as needed)
• Provide support including cold calling, conducting research and new business prospecting
• Assist with creating sponsorship proposals, deal point memos, and contracts
• Must be capable of high level research and prospecting- understanding the importance to match team assets/inventory with partner needs, category placement and industry trends
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Creating and executing innovative ideas to assist in the promotion of the WNBA Atlanta Dream and corporate partnerships
• Fulfillment of on-site sponsorship activations and elements at Dream games at Philips Arena including: execution of on-site operational elements, client promotional set-up, product sampling, signage, client/suite hospitality, client ticketing needs, on-site contact for all shows
• Assist in managing existing and new business relationships
• Assist with fulfillment on other departments supporting sponsored programs (community relations, game presentation, ticket sales & service)
• Ensure delivery of contractual elements and providing excellent customer service and client fulfillment
• Assist with re-cap information illustrating key components and successes of each client program including overview, program highlights, and photos.

  • Work all game days - Be available three hours before tipoff through up to two hours following
  • Organize media information area
  • Set up press row
  • Manage copier
  • Distribute stats to media/teams (in-game/postgame)

  • Upload photos/videos to website system
  • Record coaches postgame comments to post to website
  • Work credential table/distribute credentials

The Atlanta Dream Finance Intern will be responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer with several aspects of Finance Administration including accounts payable and accounts receivable, reporting, and data analysis.  

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate must be an undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing. All candidates must receive academic credit from their college or university. Graduate students are encouraged to apply. Internship applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Interns must be available to work from 20 to 40 hours per week with flexible schedules. The typical Dream internship will last 12 to 20 weeks. Interns will also be expected to attend Dream games and various promotional events.

·         Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements.

·         Assist  with the setup and management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable electronic filing system.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The marketing department is responsible for all brand building efforts. This entails developing key fan insights and translating insights into breakthrough fan engagement efforts. These efforts may be through traditional media, new media, events, partnerships, etc. The marketing intern will gain valuable training from the members of the marketing team on how to most effectively build a brand and how to effectively research a specific business challenge, develop winning strategies to address the business challenge, and qualify the proposed solutions with Hornets Fans. Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Staff are required to work Timberwolves home games, in addition to external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps.

    • Handle all incoming inquiries for Community Assist Ticket related inquiries including phone calls, emails and general mailings

Partnership Activation Intern - Phoenix Suns (Phoenix, AZ)

Job Purpose

The Phoenix Suns Marketing Partnerships department is currently recruiting for a part-time, seasonal Intern to report to the Senior Activation Manager.

This internship will include working all Suns home games, working with Marketing Partnerships to fulfill corporate sponsorship agreements and perform clerical tasks as needed.

This internship pays $9.00/hour and is expected to last the entire Suns season (October 2015-playoffs which could be until the end of June 2016). Candidates must be able to work every home game plus 15-20 office hours per week.

Primary (Essential) Duties

Job Purpose

The Phoenix Suns public relations internship is an opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the professional sports industry. Position Summary/ Objective

The Video Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the coaching staff in regards to utilizing video technologies to better help player development in both prcatice and games.
