Title:                     Atlanta Dream Finance Intern

SUMMARY

The Atlanta Dream Finance Intern will be responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer with several aspects of Finance Administration including  accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting, and financial audits.  

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate must be an undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing. All candidates must receive academic credit from their college or university. Graduate students are encouraged to apply. Internship applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Interns must be available to work from 20 to 40 hours per week with flexible schedules. The typical Dream summer internship will last 12 to 20 weeks. Interns will also be expected to attend Dream games and various promotional events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements.

·         Assist  with the setup and management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable electronic filing system.

·         Prepare monthly account reconciliations.

·         Assist with invoicing and collection of sponsorship payments.

·         Track sponsorship fulfillment expenses.

·         Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.

·         Assist in team financial reporting including team projections.

·         Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and EXPERIENCE

·         Undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing.

·         Completion of university courses in accounting, economics or finance highly preferred.

·         Previous business experience or internships are preferred.

·         Strong analytical skills.

·         Superior attention to detail and deadline orientation.

The Erie BayHawks are looking for an outgoing and driven Marketing and Graphic Design intern for the 2015 summer months. This position will assist the Communication and Client Services Manager on a daily basis. Job duties will include assisting with creation and design of all team publications and literature for the upcoming 2015-16 season. In addition, this position will directly assist with the coordination and execution of community and mascot appearances.

The Marketing and Graphic Design intern will be required to work in the BayHawks office 2-3 days per week (approximately 20 hours/week) as well as additional weeknight and weekend hours as needed. Regular weekdays can be flexible depending on hired intern’s schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-          Assist in the creation of the team’s program, media guide, pocket schedule and Season Ticket booklet

Assistant Trainer

Overview:
The purpose of this program is to provide the student with an opportunity toa ssist the Director of Athletic Training (Head Athletic Trainer) in, maintaining and executing strategies to successfully manage a  camp athletic training program. This will work under the supervision of a Nationally Certified (ATC) and Pennsylvania Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT)  to learn the “ins and outs” of operating an overnight sports camp from a medical perspective.

Qualifications:
• Open to college juniors, seniors and graduate students seeking a position to fulfill class credits.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

• Must be enrolled in a CAATE- accredited Athletic Training Program 
• Must be certified in CPR, first aid & safety.
• Must have spent 2 seasons traveling with an intercollegiate sports team while working under the direction of a supervising athletic trainer. (Atheltic Training Students cannot travel unsupervised per CAATE Standards).

Duties:

  • Work under the supervisor of the director and the Athletic Trainer of the camp in providing basic first aid to campers and staff.
  • Organize and coordinate deliveries of athletic training and first aid supplies.
  •  Organize the daily athletic training room schedule both for the rehabilitation of injuries and to ensure adequate staff coverage.
  • Communicate with the director and the athletic trainer on a daily basis with respect to which campers are injured and require medical attention.
  • Assist the director and the athletic trainer in conducting morning stretching exercises of the campers.
  • Assist with the registration and orientation of the campers
  • Assist the athletic trainer with campers requiring rehabilitation of injuries.
  • Assist the director and athletic trainer in making sure that campers and staff have their medical needs met during weekend trips.

Job Purpose

The Phoenix Suns are looking for a Marketing or Business major for an internship to assist the Marketing department to further develop college outreach program and other marketing initiatives. 


This paid internship will be from May 2015-end of 2016 Suns season (including post season).

Primary (Essential) Duties 
•    Assist in the interdepartmental implementation of marketing strategies, promotions and campaigns 
•    Work on cross functional assignments for Merchandise, Events, and Hispanic Marketing (i.e. Team Shop Photo Shoot,  NBA Draft Event,  Merchandise Promotional Deck)
•    Work both on and off-site events (i.e. game nights, special events including season ticket holder events, sports tournaments, partner appearances, festivals, etc.) in an effort to promote the Suns/Mercury. 
•    Manage premium and autographed item inventory
•    Lead grassroots event preparation
•    Assist with US Airways Center event marketing

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

•    Strategic and creative thinking skills
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and the company as a whole

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

A Digital Media/Graphic Design intern at the Texas Legends responsibilities include the following:

  • Design and layout a wide variety of print materials, such as Gameday magazine advertisements, flyers, brochures, posters, postcards, direct mail pieces and invitations
  • Design and illustrate graphic materials including logos, signage and website images
  • Assist with photo editing and manipulation of graphics for sponsor mockups and marketing presentations
  • Preparing files for proofs, print and final outputs

Qualifications:

  • Excellent grammatical, spelling, proofreading abilities are preferred
  • Some working knowledge of html, and CSS is preferred.

Requirements:

  • This is an unpaid internship and applicants should have completed course work in the field of Graphic Design, Advertising, or a related field
