POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a non-paid internship and is requiring the individual to receive academic credit. The candidate should be, but not limited to, a Junior, Senior or graduate level student.
This internship requires a commitment to assist staff during Hornets games and be able to be in the office 20-40 hours a week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for working at all Hornets home games, staffing the Hornets Arena Will Call, Guaranteed Giveaways table, Guest Service Windows, and/or Season Ticket Holder booth on the concourse as needs dictate
• Perform and review surveys of season ticket holders.
• Work with Game Operations and all other game staffs with the execution of improvements to the game day experience for all Premium Seat Holders.
• Proactively communicate in person via other communication methods with premium seat holders to gauge satisfaction levels, and to inform them of upcoming season ticket holder exclusive events.
• Assist with all season ticket holder events, including, but not limited to first year orientation and open practices.
• Interact with employees and customers to assist in the resolution of problems and concerns voiced by season ticket holders.
• Organize and distribute season ticket holder gifts, birthday cards, etc.
• Help to plan, organize and execute season ticket holder events.
• Assist with research and tracking efforts to determine Season Ticket Holders concerns and interest.
• Contribute to the common goals of the department and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Premium Services, Director of Premium and Season Ticket Services and Vice President of Sales and Services.

The marketing department is responsible for all brand building efforts. This entails developing key fan insights and translating insights into breakthrough fan engagement efforts. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Charlotte Hornets are looking for a Graphic Design intern. This is a print design environment. The internship will allow the Intern to gain knowledge of printing and graphics. This internship offers the opportunity to work with a diverse group of experienced staff members in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Spring 2015 Ticket Operations Internship - Charlotte Hornets (Charlotte, NC)

 POSITION OVERVIEW
The Charlotte Hornets of the NBA are seeking 1-2 interns to assist with managing the day to day ticket operation functions along with managing the day-to-day ticket service functions both in the office and at ALL Hornets home games. The Ticket Operations Intern will process and fulfill ticket orders in the Ticketmaster ticketing system, assist with season ticket distribution, assist with customer service issues on game day at the box office, and assist the Ticket Operations Manager and sales staff with additional tasks as needed. This unpaid internship requires 25-35 hours per week.

• Attend ALL Hornets home games while providing box office support

The Chicago Sky is seeking excited, outgoing, and dedicated candidates that will interact with the general public while being an integral part of ongoing ticket sales efforts. The sales intern will be a vital part of assisting the Sky sales team in all aspects of selling, fulfilling and executing sales initiatives. The position will gain hands-on experience in sales and marketing through implementing and planning off season activities leading up to the 2015 season. Interns will also assist in facilitating grassroots marketing events including mascot appearances.

Note: While this position gives you invaluable experience in the sports marketing world, it is a non-paid position. However, there is potential to earn sales commission.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing various grassroots marketing activities with ticket department in order to drive ticket sales and brand awareness
  • Set up and transport  various Sky products and materials to and from events, festivals, tournaments, leagues, etc
  • Raise fan support and Sky ticket sales through lead generation, cold calls, and events
  • Aid VP of Ticket Sales and department in assigned tasks including research and projects
  • Create and implement strategies to prospect, develop, and grow ticket sales opportunities and ideas
  • Work with Ticket Sales department in implementation of marketing plans designed to reach particular groups and demographics
  • Coordinate ticket distribution program through outreach to non-profit organizations and other community groups
  • General office duties
