POSITION OVERVIEW

Interns will learn to work cooperatively in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, while enjoying the excitement of working within a professional sports organization. This is an unpaid internship requiring 30-40 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help update and publish content for all company websites
  • Ensure a consistent look and feel across all company websites utilizing company brand guidelines
  • Help conceptualize, design, and code front-end responsive websites
  • Take designs from Photoshop mockups and hand code site pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Research and apply best-practice web techniques for clean HTML, image optimization, and responsive/adaptive behavior
  • Address and fix internal/external customer reports of website functional difficulties.
  • Assist in video and photo capturing and video production
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Execution of pre-production schedule including video & audio editing as well as graphic design.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the production team.
  • Pre-production organizing and planning for off-site events and community relations based initiatives.
  • Execution of production orientated tasks leading up to and on game days.
  • Expected to work every home game.
  • Aid in the post-production process of exporting and uploading videos to team’s website, authoring DVDs, etc.

Fall 2017 Technical Operations Intern - Charlotte Hornets (Charlotte, NC)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The intern will assist the Technical Operations department with managing and coordinating a wide array of functions for HSE and Spectrum Arena, including, but not limited to, event crewing, audio/video needs, studio production and recording, equipment maintenance and repair, ordering of parts, and operation of electronics systems and equipment design for all basketball and non-basketball related events. This is an unpaid position and requires the individual to receive academic credit.

The marketing department is responsible for all brand building efforts. This entails developing key fan insights and translating insights into breakthrough fan engagement efforts. These efforts may be through traditional media, new media, events, partnerships, etc. The marketing intern will gain valuable training from the members of the marketing team on how to most effectively build a brand and how to effectively research a specific business challenge, develop winning strategies to address the business challenge, and qualify the proposed solutions with Hornets Fans. Unpaid internship working 20-40 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The applicant will assist in the interdepartmental implementation of marketing strategies, promotions and campaigns
  • Coordinate delivery of advertising collateral to media partners and other establishments
  • Understand and utilize web-based analytics tools for regular production and analysis of performance marketing program reports
  • Aid in the development of reporting requirements to determine ROI and overall effectiveness of campaigns

  • Assist in preparation of entertainment and sponsored elements for all Chicago Bulls home games.

The primary focus of this internship is to support and assist in the financial operations of our organization. The Accounting Intern will assist with accounting projects, data entry, processing payables, coding expenses, annual financial audit preparation and preparing financial reports, as well as any other tasks that contribute to the efficiencies of our business.

Qualifications:
• Current college students enrolled in a four-year college program. Must be in a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student, preferably majoring in Accounting or Sports Management, or related field.
• Previous work experience in accounting is preferred
• Basic accounting knowledge. Understanding of debits and credits, journal entries, adjusting entries
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Position Overview: Assist Washington Wizards’ front office staff with the day-to-day operations of the organization. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative assistance to all staff as needed/requested.
  • Provide personal assistance to all staff as needed/requested.
  • Coverage of multiple phone lines, provide detailed, accurate messages.
