SUMMARY

The Atlanta Dream Merchandise Intern will be responsible for assisting the Manager of Merchandise with all aspects of ordering, tracking, analyzing, selling and fulfilling merchandise orders.

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate must be an undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing. All candidates must receive academic credit from their college or university. Graduate students are encouraged to apply. Internship applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Interns must have flexible schedules. This internship is primarily events and game based though it can have flexible office hours depending on the intern’s schedule. The typical Dream internship will last 12 to 20 weeks. Interns will also be expected to attend Dream games and various promotional events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the tracking of all merchandise orders and maintain current inventory records
  • Prepare for events and games by developing sales plans and determining sales approach
  • Selling merchandise at games and events
  • Assisting with the analysis of merchandise post-games and events
  • Researching and ordering merchandise including researching new products and obtaining quotes

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing
  • This is an unpaid internship so individual applicants must be able to receive college credit
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Superior attention to detail and deadline orientation
  • Ability to work efficiently and multi-task under pressure
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint

SUMMARY

The Atlanta Dream Finance Intern will be responsible for assisting the Manager of Finance with several aspects of Finance & Administration including budgeting, financial reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and data analysis.

Interns must be available to work from 30 to 40 hours per week with flexible schedules. The typical Dream internship will last 12 to 20 weeks. Interns will also be expected to attend Dream games and various promotional events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in update of organizational budget and preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with the setup and management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare weekly/monthly account reconciliations
  • Data entry into the Client Relationship Management system
  • Assist in team financial reporting including team projections
  • Other duties as assigned including data or statistical analysis, merchandise management, building spreadsheets and models

Chicago Sky Marketing Partnership *FALL* Internship - Chicago Sky WNBA (Skokie, IL)

Chicago Sky Marketing Partnerships Internship

The Marketing Partnership Internship offers students a hands-on working experience.  Responsibilities of the intern will be to help the Marketing Partnership Department in both the sale cycle of partnerships and the activation of partnerships contracts. Interns will also be exposed to other areas of the organizations including PR and Communications, Operations, and Community Relations. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, focused, detail oriented undergraduates or graduate students interested in a career in Marketing Partnership.

The position is located in our Skokie, IL office and games are played out of Allstate Arena in Rosemont. Interns will have the opportunity to work either full-time or part-time.

Looking for Fall interns to start as early as August 2016.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Lead for a Sponsored Event. Includes planning, outreach, and organization. Will report to VP of Marketing Partnerships.
  • Sales Cycle Liaison. Includes prospecting, initial outreach, pitching, proposal building and contract writing.
    •  Guaranteed opportunities to attended in-person sales pitch with VP of Marketing Partnerships & Senior Account Executive (as well listen in on various phone call pitches)
  • Support all elements of activation including: in-arena (Signage, On-Court Promotions, Concourse Table, Media Room maintence, etc), Social media (messaging & scheduling), emails, and event support (event execution and pre-event marketing). Will report to Partnership Activation Coordinator.
    • Assist with re-cap information illustrating key components and successes of each partnership contact including overview, program highlights, and photos; maintain sponsor photo/element libraries
  • Work at all Chicago Sky home games assisting in set up, breakdown and the execution of all sponsor promotions
  • Interface with current and prospective Sky fans at community events and festivals.
  • Assist in measuring the success of marketing elements through marketing analytics (number of impressions & utilize Scarborough research)
  • Internship Project: Pitch a potential marquee partnership to Sky Staff. To include outlines, research, creating a marketing deck and an in person pitch.

The Los Angeles Lakers Public Relations department currently has (5) openings for a part-time seasonal internship for the 2016-17 NBA season.

Summary of intern responsibilities:

  • Attend ALL 41 regular season home games, select preseason games in October, and any potential 2017 NBA Playoff games to assist in the coordination of game day duties including, but not limited to; overseeing the media will call table for credential distribution, assisting with media needs in the press room, distributing stat sheets and final stat books to the media, and retrieving and producing post game quote sheets.
  • Work in the office in El Segundo one day a week (9:00am-4:30pm) and potential weekend dates throughout the season, to assist with various administrative duties including the preparation and distribution of daily press clippings, answering phones, and producing and delivering media packets to visiting team hotels.
  • Provide content for monthly newsletters by writing stories, conducting player interviews, and authoring player features.

Qualifications/Skills Desired:

  • MUST receive college credit for internship.
  • MUST be able to work all 41 home games and any potential 2017 NBA Playoff games.  NO EXCEPTIONS. Please note that we often have games on holidays (e.g. Christmas, Easter, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, etc.) and you are expected to work.  Keep in mind that interns are expected to arrive at the arena three hours prior to game time for all home games.
  • Possess excellent communication skills (written, oral, and grammatical).

Position Purpose

The Memphis Grizzlies organization is actively committed to helping strengthen communities across the mid-South region. Through the work of our Community Engagement team, we leverage the power of sports to address important social issues in education, youth development and health and fitness.

The Intern, Community Engagement will promote and support that mission by assisting with all program planning and implementation but with a special focus on game night activations including Tickets for Kids.

The position reports to the Manager, NBA + Player Initiatives and is part of the collaborative partnership between the Community Engagement team and the Grizzlies Foundation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Duties may include:

  • Assist in preparations for all Grizzlies Community initiatives, including but not limited to Grizz Cares, Season of Giving, NBA Fit Week, and Read to Achieve
  • Handle day to day implementation of the Tickets for Kids program: log requests, manage distribution, track attendance by organization
  • Support the Donations In-Kind Program: track and process requests, distribute items to designated organizations
  • Maintain regular and timely communication with school representatives, non-profit and other community partners in support of program implementation
  • Assist with courtside, in-arena programs and special events.
  • Research and document best practices among professional sports teams as it relates to programs and program-related issues relevant to the Community Investment platform.
  • Other related duties as required.

  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field is preferred.

Summary

This position is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the Strategy & Analytics department, including CRM administration, data automation/integration, and predictive modeling. Key Responsibilities Areas:
• Create actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.
• Conduct qualitative analysis to review historical sales performance and inform future sales strategy.
• Help compile data and run analysis for various reporting and analytic initiatives, both on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis.
• Assist in data warehouse efforts focused on data automation and integration between source systems.
• Conduct linear and non-linear regression analysis across ticket sales, marketing, and sponsorship.
• Assist in the day-to-day administration of CRM platform (Salesforce) including user management, data hygiene and data manipulation.
• Assist in driving our Salesforce reporting through dashboards, pipelines, views, and reports.
• Support the execution and reporting of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• College Majors Preferred in Computer Science, Physics, Math, Statistics or related field.
