SUMMARY

The Atlanta Dream Corporate Partnerships Intern will assist in the advancement and development of a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy designed to build long-term, multifaceted, collaborative partnerships with the local corporate community. The Corporate Partnership Intern will also assist the department in preparing proposals and disseminating information for current partners, conducting research, developing, preparing, updating, and coordinating materials for potential partners, and assist with event execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Fulfill contractual elements of partners.

·         Develop and maintain plans of action per partnership.

·         Research and identify leads for the Corporate Partnership department.

·         Build and maintain a professional lead contact database.

·         Assist in the production of collateral / sales decks.

·         Assist in the production of Dream recaps.

·         Help with day of event activities when necessary.

·         Create a photo database of partnership fulfillment items throughout the internship.

·         Assist in managing department merchandise inventory.

·         Assist department with the execution of partner events and marketing events when needed.

·         Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

The Atlanta Dream Corporate Partnership Activations Intern is responsible for supporting the Corporate Partnerships Activation team with all aspects of events, activities and activations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to client customer service, event coordination, research, sponsorship execution and fulfillment, building PowerPoint presentations, and designing collateral for sponsorship activations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Coordinate all signage and promotional assets on-site.

·         Create and implement sponsorship activation play books following the Corporate Partnerships         Department's processes and guidelines.

·         Develop event recaps.

·         Provide detailed updates and reports on sponsorship assets, revenues, invoices, and inventory.

·         Ability to be creative and give positive input in creating sponsorship proposals and activations.

·         Coordinate sponsor event tickets including orders, ticket banks, and contracted ticket allotments.

·         Monitors and tracks sponsors online deliverables with digital counterparts.

Chicago Sky Ticket Sales & Services Summer Internship - Chicago Sky (Skokie, IL)

Chicago Sky Ticket Sales Internship

 

The Chicago Sky is seeking excited, outgoing, and dedicated candidates that will interact with the general public while being an integral part of ongoing ticket sales efforts. The sales intern will be a vital part of assisting the Sky sales team in all aspects of selling, fulfilling and executing sales initiatives. The position will gain hands-on experience in sales and marketing through implementing and planning for the 2015 season. Interns will also assist in facilitating grassroots marketing events including mascot appearances.

Note: While this position gives you invaluable experience in the sports marketing world, it is a non-paid position. However, there is potential to earn sales commission.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing various grassroots marketing activities with ticket department in order to drive ticket sales and brand awareness
  • Set up and transport  various Sky products and materials to and from events, festivals, tournaments, leagues, etc
  • Raise fan support and Sky ticket sales through lead generation, cold calls, and events
  • Aid VP of Ticket Sales and department in assigned tasks including research and projects
  • Create and implement strategies to prospect, develop, and grow ticket sales opportunities and ideas

Description

The Chicago Sky is seeking former basketball players that will participate in all Chicago Sky youth basketball marketing and sales efforts for the Summer of 2015. The position will report directly to the Youth Basketball Specialist. While this is an unpaid internship, there may be opportunities to expand into a part-time or full-time position in the future. Candidates must be outgoing, excited, and have basketball knowledge. The youth basketball interns will be attending youth basketball related events throughout the Chicagoland area promoting the Chicago Sky, and selling Sky youth basketball initiatives. We are looking for candidates to start in May 2015.

 Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Enthusiastically promote Chicago Sky increasing brand awareness and fan support at events
  • Actively prospect and research youth basketball programs/teams/schools to drive attendance and group ticket sales programs
  • Coordinate of on-site activities at events, festivals, tournaments, clinics, leagues - including transport, set-up and supervision of all Sky equipment, products, and materials

INTERNSHIP (Summer 2015): Partnership Marketing - Monumental Sports & Entertainment (Washington, DC)

Monumental Sports & Entertainment owns and operates three professional sports teams: the NBA's Washington Wizards, the NHL's Washington Capitals, and the WNBA's Washington Mystics.  Monumental, which merged Lincoln Holdings and Washington Sports & Entertainment on June 10, 2010, also owns and operates Verizon Center, the premier sports and entertainment venue in Washington, D.C. Additionally, the group operates Kettler Capitals Iceplex, the Capitals' state-of-the-art training facility in Arlington, Va., and George Mason University's Patriot Center, located in Fairfax, Va.

Overview: This internship introduces students to the sports industry by providing the opportunity to assist with and learn about corporate sponsorships and brand activation in the Partnership Marketing Department of Monumental Sports & Entertainment.  The Partnership Marketing Department is responsible for generating revenue from sponsors as well as the fulfillment of all aspects of sponsor contracts. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Business Managers and Corporate Partnership Directors in creating sponsorship proposals, presentations, recap reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, ClearSlide and Excel.
  • Provide administrative support for Partnership Marketing Department.

Assistant Trainer

Overview:
The purpose of this program is to provide the student with an opportunity toa ssist the Director of Athletic Training (Head Athletic Trainer) in, maintaining and executing strategies to successfully manage a  camp athletic training program. This will work under the supervision of a Nationally Certified (ATC) and Pennsylvania Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT)  to learn the “ins and outs” of operating an overnight sports camp from a medical perspective.

Qualifications:

Partnership Intern

Tulsa Pro Hoops, host organization of the WNBA's Tulsa Shock, is currently recruiting Partnership Department interns, known as Partnership Interns, for the upcoming 2015 Summer semester. This internship offers the opportunity to work with a diverse group of experienced staff members in a fast-paced, challenging environment. We are looking for hard-working, organized, dedicated individuals with a team player attitude and the desire to proactively take on responsibility throughout the Summer semester.

Internship Information

The internship takes place in the Tulsa Shock office located in downtown Tulsa. Partnership Interns support various staff members in areas related to partnerships, marketing, events, and entertainment fulfillment. These interns support the Partnership Coordinators with executing the Time Out For Fitness school assembly program, conducting prospect research, keeping and updating prospecting lists, tracking partnership social media posts, working on in-arena activations and set up, department inventory tracking, requesting partnership-related website updates, basic photography, special event planning, etc.

Summer semester Partnership Interns are responsible for:

Customer Service – Interns interact with current partners, prospective customers, and sales staff by phone, e-mail, and in person. Excellent communication skills are required. Interns are required to fulfill partnership activations and promotions during the season. At no time during the internship are interns expected to solicit sponsorship sales.

Intern Projects – Interns work on various projects 30 – 40 hours per week. Projects include corporate research, creating and maintaining corporate partner photo libraries, activation fulfillment setup, assistance in planning of partnership functions and needs at BOK Center, supervision of the volunteer corps for giveaways and other activities during home game nights at BOK Center, etc. Also, interns will be taught how to create and assist with corporate sponsorship PowerPoint proposals and recaps.

This is a full-time (30-40 hours per week) unpaid internship for college credit. Summer internships begin May 2015 and end September 2015. Interns are required to live in the Tulsa area for the duration of the internship or able to commute to the Tulsa office in a timely manner. Current college students in their freshman to senior years may apply. Current college students chosen for the internship program must use the internship to receive college credit hours.

Characteristics of Ideal Candidates

Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple projects, able to prioritize their time so they are comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment, and have the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and strong organizational skills are a must. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important due to the significant number of phone calls and questions interns are required to handle. Knowledge about the game of basketball is not required.
