The Come Together Foundation is seeking self-starting, outgoing individuals who are interested in community development/relations and business/sales to join the Street Team. The Come Together Street Team is a grassroots promotion team that will help brand and grow the Come Together Foundation. Must be proactive, punctual, reliable, outgoing and available for service at events/concerts at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. Street Team members will primarily represent the Foundation by communicating its message and fundraising on its behalf at concerts/shows. As a Street Team member, you will also have the opportunity to participate in special community events, panel discussions, job shadow, and attend networking events. This is a great introduction to the sports and entertainment industry, specifically customer relations and community relations/foundation experience as well as business administration and sales.

Hours:

Approximately two DTE concerts/events per week on average (May – Sept). Approximately 4-5 hours per concert/event, including nights & weekends as necessary. All Street Team members must be available 1 hour prior to the start of the event. 

Compensation:

This is a volunteer position, but Street Team members will receive admission to concerts/events and be eligible for cash prize incentives, as well as Detroit Pistons ticket packages for the 2013-2014 season and other bonus prizes, opportunities and incentives.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Represent the Come Together Foundation and its respective community partners with pride and professionalism; comfortable talking to people of all ages and able to express Come Together mission
• Fundraise for the Come Together Foundation and partner charity by selling 50-50 Payday raffle tickets to patrons at DTE concerts/events
• Able to use mobile tablet and printer to convey Come Together Foundation message and complete fundraising transactions
• Sales Training and DTE/Come Together Foundation overview to be provided
• Attire will consist of short-sleeve Street Team t-shirt/hat (to be provided) and khaki shorts

Competencies:

Dependability, strong work ethic, excellent verbal communication skills, enthusiasm, confidence, proficiency with mobile tablets and technology 

Qualifications:

• Sales and/or customer service experience preferred
• Outgoing personality and able to work in public setting, self-motivated
• Ability to communicate Come Together Foundation mission in professional and courteous manner
• Must be able to be mobile for extended period of time
• Must be 18 years or older
