Game-day Intern - Springfield Armor (Springfield, MA)
Internship will be focused on community involvement and in-game customer service and entertainment as well as sales and business operations. Individuals chosen for this position will assist in coordinating and implementing community events and outside appearances for the organization. They will also be responsible for executing various roles during the Armor home games in areas like (game operations, in-game entertainment, media relations, merchandise and customer service.) In addition these individuals will work in the team’s front office helping with administrative tasks and gaining sales experience. The internship will require each person to work approximately 10 hours per week combined in the community and in the office as well as all 24 home games during the season.
Sample tasks may include implementing all in-game promotions, coordinating with outside entertainers, overseeing all aspects of the promotional and guest service departments, managing team merchandise stand, coordinating with media during the games, assisting with material distribution to fans and media members, representation at and execution of multiple community appearances every week, and pocket schedule distribution.
Candidates must be energetic, outgoing, personable, detail oriented and hard-working. Candidates must also be able to work well in groups, and have the ability to multi-task. Working nights and weekends will be required as well as proficiency in basic computer software programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under general direction of the Logistics Manager and Procurement Clerk, the procurement intern is responsible for assisting with physical and clerical work involving the expediting and tracking of all new procurement materials. This internship provides a college student with experience in logistics, procurement, business ethics, administration, organization, community relations, and business management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS (KRAs)
1. Assist in generating Purchase Request form(s) and obtaining appropriate signatures.
2. Responsible for expediting all open Procurement activities.
3. Preparation of spreadsheet with local vendors/suppliers contacts.
4. Assist with the registration of new vendors/suppliers.
5. Assist vendors/suppliers with point of contacts and general information.
6. Assist internal and external customers as required

Program - The Washington Mystics New Media Internship Program will provide students with a unique opportunity to showcase thier passion and talents, as they relate to Broadcasting, Journalism and New Media. All projects will aim to enhance the official Mystics website, and provide students with hands-on experience in creating, developing and executing broadcast and journalism projects.
This will be a competitive internship program, where students will have the opportunity to expand their portfolios, as well as implement their own creative ideas within the context of a professional sports team. Space is limited.
Broadcast - Video content will be used to support written stories. In addition, stand alone video features will be developed to continue to provide fans with an in-depth look at the Mystics. Projects will include, but are not limited to player, coach and GM interviews; sponsorship features; training camp recaps; ads; and game previews.
Journalism - Writers will be expected to develop content to include, but not limited to sales; sponsorship & community events; scouting reports; and feature stories.
