Palace Sports and Entertainment, parent company of the Detroit Pistons, is looking for a Part – Time IT Help Desk Assistant. Palace owned venues include DTE Energy Music Theatre, and Meadow Brook Music Festival on the campus of Oakland University.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Assist in operating procedures for IBM AS/400, LAN, and PC's.

2. Help with daily service calls, backup and restore procedures, user problem calls and PC hardware and software upgrades and installs.

3. Assist in troubleshooting

Qualifications

1. Familiarity with Windows environment and MS Office knowledge is required.

2. Previous Computer Information Systems experience is preferred.

3. Must have a flexible schedule being able to work 20-30 hours per week.

Job Description

Job Title: Video Assistant
Reports To: Vice President of Entertainment and Event Marketing

Summary: Nets Basketball seeks a Video Assistant located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with an unparalleled work ethic and desire to be the best.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Game Day Editing and Graphics Creation

• Create and lay statistical graphics off to tape.
• Create and export interstitial headers/footers.
• Digitize game footage and organize in bins.
• Record voice-over sessions with PA announcer.
• Creation of lower thirds.
• Organize material for live event production.

Game Night Responsibilities

• Assist in the load-in of all video materials and graphics.
• Q/C all video and graphics.
• Record live event to Beta SP decks.
• Occasional producing/shooting at live event.

Video Library

• Logging of all game tapes through time code.
• Tape labeling and inventory.
• Ingesting melt footage into non-linear editing system.
• General organization of video library.
• DVD creation and mastering.
• Create copies via DVD and Beta SP dubbing.

ENG Producing/Videography

• Shoot/edit remote pieces with Nets players and fans.
• Assist with pre-production on shoots (lighting, sound, etc).
• Videography of Nets sponsor and community events.
• Setup/Breakdown of all shoots.
• P2 file management and archiving.

Website Content creation

• Assist with export and compression of video.
• FTP Transfer (upload/download).
• Upload of video to social networking sites (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter).

General Office Work

• Creation and management of expense reports.
• Filing and tracking purchase orders.
• Track tape stock inventory and ordering.
• Maintenance of Beta SP decks and DV Video Cameras.

Qualifications and Requirements include the following:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience.
