Director, Game and Event Presentation - Atlanta Hawks (Atlanta, GA)

At the Atlanta Hawks, we work on a fun and dynamic team in an environment that celebrates and encourages creativity. The Director of Game and Event Presentation will play a lead roll in producing a memorable fan experience both inside the arena as well as all concourse and exterior activities for all Hawks games and other team events. Ideal candidate is an organized, creative and talented individual who is not afraid to think outside the box with the ability to motivate full-time and event staff to provide a first class entertainment experience. 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Develop, manage and implement strategic plans that engage fans via innovative game entertainment production inside arena bowl as well as all concourse and exterior activities for all Hawks home games and other team events.
• Serve as Game Producer for all Hawks home games and other team events, coordinating all in-game performers, mascots, PA announcer, DJs, musicians, in-game hosts, lighting, pyro and other special effects.
• Work in-conjunction with Hawks Video Production staff towards creating all in-game video elements.   
• Oversee hiring of all game day entertainment teams including Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders, Kia 6th Man, A-Team Dancers, Sky Squad, mascots, DJs, musicians and PA announcers.
• Manage 3 full-time Hawks Team members including Cheerleader and Talent Manager, Game Presentation Coordinator, and Game Presentation Assistant as well as all part-time game operations staff. 
• Work with All Team and Arena departments including Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Ticketing, Public Relations, Video Production, Interactive Marketing and Community Development on game day and event content, script creation, timing and scheduling.
• Oversee operational budget for Game Presentation Department.  Includes initiating all billing, invoicing, and all other financial matters related to game day/event entertainment as well as off-site Cheerleader and Mascot appearances.
• Manage relationships with all game presentation related vendors, including contract negotiations.
• Work closely with arena and other team personnel in coordinating logistics, staffing, and all other appropriate needs to make the Fan Experience operate successfully.
• Collaborate with sponsorship on the development and execution of sponsor friendly and entertaining inventory for game day.
• Work with Group sales in the creation and execution of revenue generating and entertaining fan experiences.
• Create all game and event scripts.
• Ensure all programming and content comply with NBA regulations. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing, producing and directing live entertainment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with superior attention to detail
• Experience in all aspects of event production including knowledge of video production process.
• Experience in production of live events with the ability to provide quick turnaround.
• Experience developing and managing budgets is preferred.
• Working knowledge of design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Development of promotional assets for print and Web
Photo editing & retouching
Archiving and organization of Hawks digital assets
Support the design staff in the implementation of Hawks/Philips Arena creative campaigns
Take assigned projects from concept through execution both for internal and external clients
Work with external vendors to provide finished assets for producing/installing completed pieces
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator required
Strong design and organizational skills necessary
Knowledge of the sport of basketball preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must possess an eagerness to learn and ability to multi-task
A portfolio outlining print and web work preferred

Vice President, Corporate Partnerships & Business Development - Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena (Atlanta, GA)

Scope of Work:
• Overseeing a department of approximately 15 sales and service professional, the VP shall be a leader, a visionary and exceptional manager establishing and developing a culture of creativity and first class partnerships.
• Strategic planning and management of Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena corporate partnership sales and activation efforts (including recruitment, management, supervision, motivation and leadership) and for Corporate Partnerships (including assistance with reps’ daily sales efforts when appropriate). Significant emphasis is placed on developing creative marketing programs, developing concepts, and leveraging relationships with brand marketers of the highest levels to build sponsorship ideas and sell them through.
• Responsible for new business development while aggressively creating and driving cross-platform revenue from corporate partners ensuring revenue growth for the Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena. Assets at disposal include, but are not limited to: Arena Signage, TV, radio, print, internet, in-arena promotions, retail promotions, tickets, premium seating, marketing and fan development programs, other advertising inventory and community development programs.
• Implementation of a solutions-based model of consultative selling to sales staff based on industry best practices and innovation, including use of analytical tools to produce ROI metrics.
• Development and execution of promotional concepts aligning with organizational objectives.
• Continually source new business opportunities and inventory opportunities in order to generate incremental revenue.
• In conjunction with in-house and third party resources, determine and develop metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of sponsor involvement with our brands.

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of professional team or sports sponsorship sales and management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of good leadership and business principles relating to strategic planning, operations, reporting, and budgeting, marketing, employee relations and staffing required.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Direct management of New Membership Sales Manager and Premium Sales Manager
• Responsible for supervision of New Membership Sales, Suite/Premium Ticket Sales, and Membership Associate Program
• Responsible for leading all aspects of Suite Sales within the Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena organization.
• Lead revenue generation for all new membership sales and suite hospitality products including: 92 private suites, 10 party suites, 4 hospitality suites, 12 Loge Boxes, and Club Seats.
• Oversight of the 12-month Membership Associate Program, consisting of 15 entry-level, inside sales representatives
• Oversight in the hiring, training and continued professional development of all Membership Consultants and Associates.
• Responsible for initial on-sale events for new membership sales; timeline, e-marketing campaigns, in-game and external marketing integration, inventory management, and online activation.
• Responsible for all new sales campaign initiatives including select-a-seats, prospecting nights, creation of plans and programs, buyer incentives, and suite initiatives for premium seating, new membership, and ticket sales departments.
• Develop department business plan, training strategy, scripts, policies and procedures
• Support development of all new sales campaigns including collaboration with Analytics and CRM team and Creative/Digital teams for collateral materials (web, brochures and other direct mail pieces).
• Develop and cultivate relationships with other departments including Creative, CRM, Game Operations, CRM, Community Development and the Arena.
• Oversight of the Premium and New Sales department budgets.
• Resolve seating problems, concerns, and issues related to New Sales.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum seven (7) years sales experience with proven record of consistently achieving sales goals/targets
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in sales management; at least two (2) years of experience managing multiple direct reports and departments is a must
• Must have sales and/or event planning experience
• Prior experience managing a department budget
• Bachelor’s Degree, Business or Sport Management preferred
• Proficiency in basic software programs (MS CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proficiency in Archtics or similar ticketing software a plus
• Must be organized, creative, enthusiastic, analytical and possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work long hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
