RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:  

  • Create and complete various reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Research and organization market trends for prospecting opportunities
  • Assist other ticket sales department with projects as they arise
  • Assists on game night responsibilities for revenue generating or retention events

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required
  • Proficiency in Archtics and CRM preferred
  • Must be organized, creative, enthusiastic, and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple jobs simultaneously and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Facility Operations/Security: Security
Part Time : Event Security Officer - Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club (Atlanta, GA)

The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club is now hiring for multiple part-time, event-based position located within the Physical Security Department of Philips Arena. This position provides security for all events at Philips Arena and is responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees. Hours for this position fluctuate depending upon arena event schedule, so the ability to work flexible hours is mandatory.

Pay-Rate: Starting at $12/hour


*Uniform is provided for this position


Examples of Duties/Essential Functions:

·         Provide excellent customer service while monitoring guest flow through screening checkpoints 

·         Conduct guest bag checks for prohibited items in an orderly and efficient manner

·         Monitor and conduct screenings using walk through and hand held metal detectors 

·         Enforce all security policies and procedures of the arena

·         Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas

·         Monitor the crowd during all events to ensure safety for guests

·         Respond quickly to any incidents in arena and report in a timely manner

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualification Standards:  

·         Minimum High School graduate or equivalent, Criminal Justice degree preferred

·         Minimum 18 years of age

·         Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy

·         Strong verbal communication skills

·         Works well with others; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow workers and                 supervisors

·         Work well under pressure; ability to think clearly in emergencies, giving accurate instructions and                      information to others

Part Time : Facility Security Officer - Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club (Atlanta, GA)

We are currently accepting applications for a part time Security Officer.  Our team is committed to providing a safe and secure campus to our employees and guests. We work to secure the facility during normal business hours and are staffed 24/7. We also work in support of Event security during basketball games, concerts, conventions and all event scheduled in the arena.

Position Summary/Description: The purpose of this position is to observe and report any conditions which may negatively affect the safety and/or security of Philips Arena and the Atlanta Hawks.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

·         Observe conditions or incidents and report incidents/conditions to the appropriate management staff               and/or Atlanta Police Department/Fire Departments

·         Walk the interior of the arena to perform timely and accurate security/safety patrols including stairwells           and parking garages

·         Respond to requests for assistance from Atlanta Hawks Basketball staff and visitors for a variety of               security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)

·         Attentively monitor and operate security camera systems and digital recording devices as well as                   building access control systems

·         Gather and report any information about unusual events that occur in and around our arena

·         When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the arena facilities

·         Loading dock management – monitor and track deliveries, lift, push, and pull freight to move and deliver           it when needed

·         Will work different days and shifts depending on needs of the company

·         Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

·         6 to 12 months experience in security-related field, preferably experience in uniformed contract security,           military experience or law enforcement.

·         High school diploma or equivalent experience

·         First aid certification preferred

·         Proof of Georgia Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies 24 hour Basic security officer                   training preferred

Knowledge & Experience

·         Strong interpersonal/customer service skills

·         Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other department personnel and management

·         Previous experience with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) or Access Controls systems helpful

 

Work Conditions

·         Must be able to pass a background check

·         Lifting requirements – must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds

·         Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling,             twisting, lifting, grasping, etc

Schedule:

·         Ability and flexibility to work day, evening, overnight hours and holidays

·         Shifts are 6:30 am – 2:30 pm / 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm /10:30 pm – 6:30 am

·         Average of 24 hours per week. Occasionally more if needed, not to exceed 40

·         Hourly rate starts at $12/hour based on experience

Part-Time Atlanta Hawks College Ambassador - Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club (Atlanta, GA)

The Atlanta Hawks College Ambassadors will be responsible for driving and shaping the Hawks’ image on campus by promoting upcoming games, events, and special offers to the student population. The goal of a Hawks brand ambassador is to excite students in new and unique ways while increasing ticket sales on a collegiate level. Responsibilities:

  • Work with Hawks front office staff to develop ways to integrate the Hawks brand into big events and happenings taking place on your campus

  • Represent the Hawks brand on campus at all times, consistently acting professionally and being courteous to fellow students, campus administrators, and local community leaders
  • Become a credible brand expert: know our team and our product offerings
  • Work with Hawks Membership Consultants to identify new or untapped advertising and sales opportunities on and around campus
  • Promote the Hawks on campus by wearing team-issued apparel and using provided marketing collateral to spread the word and create buzz around special events and promotions
  • Build brand awareness via social network sharing of relevant Atlanta Hawks content
  • Create weekly reports to send to Hawks front office staff. Reports may include: providing a summary of your communication with sales/advertising prospects, event/promotion recaps, general market analysis for your campus, timesheets, and suggestions for future Hawks-related sales and marketing opportunities on campus

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university that is located within a 100 mile radius of Atlanta
  • Business (sales, marketing, sport management) major preferred
  • Must have access to reliable communication (phone and email)
  • Must have reliable transportation during the school year to attend meetings at Hawks offices in downtown Atlanta
  • Passion for sports and knowledge of the Hawks and NBA preferred
  • Previous business/leadership experience preferred. This may include prior work in event marketing/promotions, previous brand ambassador experience, or involvement on-campus in a student group or Greek life
  • Ability to work an average of 5 hours per week, plus attend various events (as needed) both on-campus and in Atlanta
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment. Majority of your time will be spent on campus, but collaboration and knowledge sharing with other Hawks brand ambassadors will be key to the success of the program
  • Self-motivated and well-organized. Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks at the same time without daily and direct supervision
  • Campus expert- knowledgeable about your campus, its hot spots, and behind the scenes activities taking place
