Associate, Membership - Ticket Sales - Atlanta Hawks (Atlanta, GA)

This posting is for our summer and fall 2017 Membership Associate Classes.

If you are an individual seeking the first step in your sports career and are seeking a tremendous career opportunity, the Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena have an open door. Throughout the program individuals will be responsible for an individual quota and top performers will be given the ability to advance their sports career internally or externally. As a whole, the department acts as a feeder system to all senior level sales and service positions, as career growth is the main objective of the program.  The extensive training program that occurs over the duration of one’s tenure will provide one with all the tools to grow their professional and sales skill sets.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Sell a full menu of ticket products for the Atlanta Hawks via phone and face-to-face presentations.  Including, but not limited, to full and partial ticketing packages, premium tickets, group tickets, and premium hospitality packages.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly and annual individual performance goals.
  • Set and complete out of office sales appointments, as well as conduct in-arena appointments to close new business.
  • Making outbound sales calls each day with the goal of generating new ticket revenue.
  • Maintaining records of all sales prospecting and customer conversations with our CRM system.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required.  All Atlanta Hawks home games will be worked in various capacities including, but not limited to:  prospecting appointments, sales tables, and game events.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Ticket Sales Manager.

Part-Time Digital Content Assistant - Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena (ATLANTA, GA)

The Atlanta Hawks and Philips Arena are looking for a part-time Digital Content Assistant to assist the Digital Content Manager with select content, social media and website responsibilities.  This position will be hourly and work roughly 20 hours per week.  The schedule will vary week-to-week but will most often include nights and weekends. This person will be responsible for the following:

-       Assist Digital Content Manager with posting to all Hawks and Philips Arena Social Media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, YouTube, Google+, LinkedIn)

-       Assist Digital Content Manager with Hawks.com and PhilipsArena.com duties as necessary

-       Attend all Philips Arena events (games, concerts, shows, etc.) and assist with live coverage for social platforms

-       Attend Hawks community events to gather content as needed

-       Work with various departments to support organizational campaigns on social media

-       Monitor social feeds, respond to fan inquiries in a timely manner, and forward social inquiries to team members for answers when appropriate

-       Work with Corporate Partnership team to incorporate necessary partnerships into social posting schedule

-       Stay current with best practices, strategies, industry standards and regulations related to social media

-       Stay current with social media trends and topics

QUALIFICATIONS:

ROLE: Responsible for overseeing daily Safety and Security operation for the Atlanta Hawks Practice Facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Enforce and uphold integrity of the Atlanta Hawks Practice Facility by following policies and procedures as outlined in Safety and Security Handbook on a 24hr 7day a week basis

·         Monitor and operate Avigilon Camera System DSX Access Control System, LiveSafe and other departmental procedures and processes

·         Regulate and control access to restricted and secure areas. Any unknown guests roaming the facility without proper identification or unescorted should immediately be removed from facility. Call appropriate parties if necessary beforehand for confirmation

·         Maintain Safety and Security documents, checklists, and supplies

·         Execute all employee, vendor and contractor badges

·         Conduct metal detector screening. Guests must have an appointment; unexpected visitors will be asked to arrange an appointment

·         Accept deliveries and use the Staff Directory/e-mail to alert staff.

·         Complete effective communication, both verbally and written where appropriate. Prepare effective incident/accident reports and track all incident reports in Aware Manager

·         Other duties as assigned

ROLE: Supports and enhances Physical Security by maintaining critical infrastructure; coordinating and assessing department operations, procedures and systems; and assisting in the development of a safe and secure environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Serve as Manager on Duty for the Special Operations Command Center (SOCC) for events. Directly responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, processing payroll and all event logistics for APD and SOCC event staff.

·         Execute all employee, vendor and contractor badges while maintaining visual standards and consistency on badges and database

·         Assist in researching, developing and implementing policies and procedures around staff and event safety requirements that are in alignment with our company values. Safety and Security policies should remain up to date and staff should be knowledgeable on how to properly execute the program initiatives. The Specialist, Safety and Security supports the training of security personnel, as well as ensuring the programs put in place remain relative to the arena, event and applicable laws

·         Maintain Safety and Security documents, checklists, and supplies

·         Review footage, report and document incidents that have occurred on camera as appropriate

·         Responsible for managing arena Lost and Found. Serve as key contact for all lost and found inquiries

·         Assist with Emergency preparedness training and supplies. Coordinates certification and refresher First Aid trainings for various departments. Maintains supplies for AED’s and Emergency First Aid kits

·         Instructs safety and security training classes for internal and external departments

·         Implementing department projects and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         2-4 Year college degree required

·         2 years’ experience in a professional environment and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, this can include security or military experience

·         1 year supervisory experience

·         Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong reflective listening skills.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Vice President of Premium Sales & Service is responsible for generating new business revenue through suite, loft and loge box leases, courtside, and club seating.  Additionally, the position will ensure delivery of a first-class premium experience, member engagement and ultimately retention of our premium clients.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Ability to lead and successfully integrate Premium Sales & Service with all of ticket sales & service functions.
  • Collaborate and work effectively as part of a senior management team outside of Ticket Sales & Service departments across the entire organization.
  • Develop and lead go-to-market plan for new Premium seating inventory for Philips Arena including the development and execution of B2B sales strategy and product development
  • Provide coaching, training and development for the premium sales department and ticket sales department as a whole
  • Develop plan and lead execution for high levels of member engagement and retention.
  • Establish strong relationships throughout Atlanta business community and conduct senior level sales presentations to support premium sales initiatives
  • Provide direction on Premium Sales opportunities across other departments, specifically Corporate Partnerships
  • Contribute to the Corporate Partnerships sales and pipeline development

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least seven year’s experience in the professional team sports industry with a track record of success selling tickets and managing multi-faceted ticket sales operations 
  • Must be a strong leader and motivator and have experience as a ticket sales executive and a history of success in team sports
  • Strong organizational budgeting and sales reporting skills with emphasis on CRM, forecasting, pacing, inventory, campaign/event management and effective leadership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
