JOB TITLE:                              Assistant, School and College Programs

DEPARTMENT:                         Marketing

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

·         Provide support for the new College Ambassador program

o    Help execute the tactical plans for the for each major college/university in the great Atlanta Area (including but not limited to Georgia Tech, Georgia State, the HBCUs, Kennesaw State, Emory)

o    Travel to campuses to assist ambassadors with on-campus events, provide collateral, swag and other tools for ambassadors success

o    Assist with payroll and tracking of hours and sales for ambassadors

·         Support Coordinator, School and College programs with events and executables for Official Hawks Elementary schools; including task such as coordinating staff breakfast events, scheduling Flight Crew, Cheerleaders and Harry the Hawk for appearances on campus, updating signage on campus. 

·         Assist with the coordination and execute the schedule School Assembly performances inclusive of The Atlanta Hawks Healthy Game Plan.

o    Oversee the scheduling and calendar of assemblies, talent and all associated communication.

o    Collaborate with Group Sales and Service efforts regarding assembly programs.

o    Serve as on-site lead for the events to ensure proper execution.

·         Execute calendar of events to introduce Hawks brand to traditional and non-traditional fan bases in Atlanta as well as geo-targeted metro zip codes.

o    Assist with scheduling and overseeing part-time staff for the events.

o    Load and unload vehicles for all events.

o    Drive and track revenue from all promotional events in the community.

o    Serve as driver of fleet vehicles when necessary for events.

o    Lead on-site staff at events.

·         Oversee the acquisition, deployment, and maintenance of the company’s marketing fleet vehicles.

·         Assist with the execution of Youth Sports Day and other Fan Force in arena executions.

·         Maintain department off-site storage facility, inclusive of tracking inventory of Flight Crew uniform and premiums, maintaining all equipment and conducting routine cleaning.

·         Assist in the day-to-day training and management of all department interns.

·         Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Undergraduate degree in Marketing or a relevant field required

·         1-2 years previous marketing and/or promotions experience in professional sports

·         Experience in event and/or mobile marketing preferred

·         Good organizational, communication and time management skills

·         Ability to manage multiple events, create relationships and meet deadlines

·         Self-starter and show initiative

·         Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point)

·         Must have valid Georgia Driver’s License and clean driving record

·         Must be able to lift between 25-50 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist management with safety training, planning safety improvements, record keeping, and enforcement of OSHA guidelines and Atlanta Hawks safety policy.

Conduct safety audits to identify deficiencies and unsafe practices, which need immediate correction insuring a safe working environment.

Maintain records, schedules, charts, etc., as required to ensure proper and timely preventive maintenance or repair of components, systems and structures.

Submit ideas and suggestions to Management to help plan work schedules and assignments in accordance with O&M repair requirements.

Follow work priorities according to the status of the components, systems, structures and actual work request forms to include all formal work order documentation.

Ensure correct procedures are being followed and provide assistance when necessary.

Assist in preparing purchase orders for materials, tools, equipment, spare parts and supplies, etc.

Completes time sheets as directed to ensure correct information is recorded.

Maintain and clean assigned equipment to ensure proper operation.

Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Building Operations Manager or General Maintenance Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have High School diploma or equivalent to 2 years of trade school or apprenticeship program

Must demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of systems and structures, tools, test instruments, and proper procedures related to the maintenance, and repair of commercial building equipment and systems.

Must be a self-starter and motivated 

Must have excellent communication and expression skills

Must be able to accurately and neatly complete all necessary forms and paper work i.e. work orders and time sheets

Must be an effective team player

Must be able to travel to various locations throughout the facility and grounds

Must be able to be on-call at times when not schedule to be at the facility

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays

Must possess working knowledge of safety equipment, systems and OSHA Guidelines to provide a safe workplace for employees and safe environment to the public

Stays informed of the O&M requirements associated with new and existing equipment

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Part Time STC is responsible for assisting and supporting the NBA HSAN infrastructure for basketball games and related services for the Atlanta Hawks. The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience with and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows XP & Windows 7 operating systems.

• General knowledge in networks to include basic TCP/IP understanding, DNS and DHCP. 
• General knowledge of local and wide area networks.
• Assist with the setup of statistical equipment for production of basketball games.
• Provide support of different applications used for statistical output.
• Assist media and staff with issues connecting to wireless network.
• Provide tenant, vendor and event support as necessary and system security.
• Understanding of network data and serial cabling. 
• Work in conjunction with stats and game night crew team members to ensure facility integrity.
• Flexible scheduling, ability to work weekends and odd shifts. 
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

  • Minimum of 26 weeks (November 2014 – April 2015)
  • Maximum of 28 hours/week

Responsibilities and Duties:

o   Support ticket sales’ game night responsibilities, including sales kiosk set up, game night sales/prospect events, client escorting/tours

o   Assist with outside event preparation, logistics, communication and execution

o   Work with ticket sales management and participating departments in executing specific ticket sales campaigns (collateral requests, website updates, mail campaigns, etc.)
