Associate, Membership - Ticket Sales - Atlanta Hawks (Atlanta, GA)

This posting is for our summer and fall 2017 Membership Associate Classes.

If you are an individual seeking the first step in your sports career and are seeking a tremendous career opportunity, the Atlanta Hawks & Philips Arena have an open door. Throughout the program individuals will be responsible for an individual quota and top performers will be given the ability to advance their sports career internally or externally. As a whole, the department acts as a feeder system to all senior level sales and service positions, as career growth is the main objective of the program.  The extensive training program that occurs over the duration of one’s tenure will provide one with all the tools to grow their professional and sales skill sets.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Sell a full menu of ticket products for the Atlanta Hawks via phone and face-to-face presentations.  Including, but not limited, to full and partial ticketing packages, premium tickets, group tickets, and premium hospitality packages.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly and annual individual performance goals.
  • Set and complete out of office sales appointments, as well as conduct in-arena appointments to close new business.
  • Making outbound sales calls each day with the goal of generating new ticket revenue.
  • Maintaining records of all sales prospecting and customer conversations with our CRM system.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required.  All Atlanta Hawks home games will be worked in various capacities including, but not limited to:  prospecting appointments, sales tables, and game events.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Ticket Sales Manager.

Administration/General Management: Administrative/Executive Assistant
Coordinator, Operations - Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club (Atlanta, GA)

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES

  • This role is responsible for supporting the Philips Arena Operations team in achieving operational success through project support, data analysis, reporting and administrative assistance.              

                                       

PROJECT ASSISTANCE

  • Assist in assembling Public Improvements Capital Budget information and formatting for submission to Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority.
  • Provide support in assembling project information for Authorization Capital Expenditure approvals and tracking progress of the project. 
  • Assist in capital budget tracking and project billing to ensure accurate accounting of funds spent.
  • Coordinate and over see office space planning, space reconfiguration, and work place enhancements for office staff needs.
  • Schedule project meetings, providing outlines, taking minutes, and assisting in elements of project scheduling.
  • Maintain department purchase order logs and cross reference billing to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with accrual of expenses ensuring accounting has an accurate account of materials ordered and outstanding in payment.  
  • Maintain Building Operations project files with all necessary back up, cost tracking and support.

PERFORMANCE TRACKING, ANALYSIS & REPORTING

  • Review and understand a variety of contracts in order to track deliverables either directly with contractors or by supporting arena personnel.
  • Assist in achieving operational objectives by preparing and analyzing budgets for review by senior leadership including forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, and submitting purchase orders.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements in data collection, analysis, reporting and information flow. Will utilize existing information or assist in creating ways to capture new information to help measure and report. Will work with Operations staff to develop reporting methods.
  • Assist with CMMS system set up and long term operation, designing custom reports, assisting with productivity analysis.
  • Maintain monthly reports for Building Operations (Utilities/Waste Management); assist in preparing various reports as needed to include research, input and summarization of data.? 

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

  • Provide day to day administrative support to Operations Department of the arena to include managing files, business contacts/ staff contacts, correspondence, scheduling meetings & meeting space reservations.
  • Process expense reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Process invoices in accordance to Accounting policies, procedures and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year College or University and 2 plus years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience college coursework preferred
  • Must be able to produce high level reports and analysis with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly and work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be highly organized and able to exercise professional initiative and good judgement in prioritizing work balancing multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to maintain discretion and confidence as this position will have access to sensitive information.
  • Experience interacting with colleagues at all levels of an organization.
  • Must have a command of the English language and have an advanced level of writing/ communication skills including grammatical, editing and proof reading skills.

Manager, Retail Warehouse - Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club (Atlanta, GA)

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Develops warehouse operations systems to accurately receive product, manage inventory, monitor equipment, and fulfill shipping.
  • Maintains a delivery schedule from warehouse to retail locations, and can deliver requested merchandise in a timely manner.
  • Tickets and prices all merchandise before it leaves the warehouse, including new monthly markdowns.
  • Evaluates, implements, and enforces policies and procedures for the best method of handling and storing goods
  • Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
  • Work with store manager on a regular basis to update recent deliveries and merchandise needs
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting regularly scheduled physical counts and reconciles discrepancies with inventory management system.

Position Summary: The Senior Vice President of Content, Production & Experience is responsible for leading an integrated content team across video production & fan experience to create, curate & execute compelling content that develop stronger, more emotional connections with our key target audiences. Promoting year-round engagement with a fan-first mindset across all channels including in-arena, social, web & experiential.  In addition to partnering with marketing and corporate partnerships on unique, compelling pitch ideas and execution of sponsorship integration across all channels. The SVP is expected to build a culture of innovation, creativity & excellence, lead the team, collaborate internally across all departments to manage the development and execution of content creation – consistently testing, learning and optimizing to ensure business goals are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and oversee the development/maintenance of content strategy that supports and extends initiatives across the organization, while working with analytics & marketing on optimization
  • Exhibit compelling storytelling through all content and platforms
  • Ensure all content is on brand, consistent in style, quality and voice
  • Provides experience, guidance and leadership for Video Production, Fan Experience & other departments
  • Develop a workflow for video production across all platforms – scheduling, writing, production, editing, approvals, external partners when needed, etc.  
  • Research, monitor & report on new techniques, trends & equipment for the department
  • Leverage trending topics/current events to develop content themes and spontaneous activations
  • Lead ideation, creation, writing, directing shoots, and managing the development of video/audio material for internal office needs, external brand pieces, sponsorship pitches, basketball operations/players/coaches needs, community & marketing assets
  • Lead the development & creation of entertainment pieces for use across all platforms. Including in-game content, i.e. fan prompts, player music videos, theme/buzz nights, etc.
  • When needed perform the role of “In-Game Presentation Director” to direct, coordinate, oversee the game script and direct all on court activities including our mascot, dancers and all on-court acts along with all video board elements from pregame to end of game.
  • Oversee all video creative development from outside agencies/freelancers when needed
  • Oversee departmental budgeting
  • Provide creative leadership & support for Marketing/Sales requests
  • Monitor trends in popular culture and music for entertainment ideas
  • Continuously build strong relationships both internally and externally
