Communications: Communications Department Management
Communications & Client Services Manager - Erie BayHawks (Erie, PA)

The Erie BayHawks’ Communications & Client Services Manager is a high energy, creative person who will manage all aspects of the team’s communications efforts, including media relations, online and fan communications.  The C&CSM will also support the teams’ sales efforts by coordinating the fulfillment of all corporate partnerships.   

Duties & Responsibilities:

Media & Public Relations

o   Proactively engage local media and cultivate media relationships

o   Schedule player/coach appearances on local media and manage all media interaction with the team and front office including the team’s annual “Media Day.” 

o   Write all press releases and media advisories

o   Produce daily Game Notes, post-game reports and annual Media Guide

o   Seek additional ways to proactively engage the media to maximize coverage of team and organization’s community and promotional efforts

o   Oversee statistics staff on game nights and serve as the team’s liaison to the League for statistics functions

Communications

o   In conjunction with the VP, Marketing & Innovation, maintain an effective social media program with a focus on growing audience and seeking opportunities to drive sales and top-of-mind-awareness

o   Oversee development of content for distribution via web, social media, in-arena, etc.

o   Implement strategy to use content to cultivate relationships with fans, sponsors and media focused on producing photos and video that promotes unique aspects of the organization

o   Manage consistent messaging of the organization’s brand across all mediums

o   Assist with the development, design and creation of marketing and promotional pieces

o   Maintain and grow customer database and execute collection of customer data both in-arena and at outside events

o   Support sales efforts through implementing a strategy to utilize customer database to grow sales. 

Client Services

o   Under the direction of the VP of Corporate Sales, lead the team’s Client Services efforts to implement a fully integrated strategy aimed at maximizing renewals and exceeding client expectations

o   Manage fulfillment of all corporate partnership agreements (e.g. collect ad copy, coordinate promotions and events per partner agreements, etc)

o   Assist in overseeing all logistics of game days with a focus on successful fulfillment of sponsorship agreements (includes set up of signage, coordinating sponsor elements with the Entertainment Manager, etc.) 

o   Deliver exceptional customer service to corporate sponsors and premium season ticket accounts

o   Fulfill proof-of-performance reports for corporate partners

Sales

o   Cultivate new ticket and sponsorship sales during the off-season, manage customer relationships and meet a personal sales quota

o   Maintain an off-season schedule of sales calls and contacts

o   Assist in the execution and fulfillment of all team corporate partnership agreements by working with the Entertainment Manager to ensure customer satisfaction

 

Qualifications

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Graphic design: Photoshop & InDesign.  Video editing experience is a plus.

·         Proven job reliability, professionalism, diligence, dedication, creativity and attention to detail

·         Ability to multi-task, think outside the box and be very creative and innovative is essential

·         Ideal applicant will be highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and be extremely organized

·         Able to work flexible hours to include holidays, weekends & evenings required

Sales, Service, & Marketing: Game Operations/Presentation
Entertainment Manager - Erie BayHawks (Erie, PA)

The Erie BayHawks’ Entertainment Manager is a high energy, creative person who will manage all aspects of the team’s entertainment efforts which include all aspects of the fan experience on game nights, as well as in the community.  This person, under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing & Innovation, will successfully execute the team’s marketing and game night operations.    

Entertainment

o   Manage and implement multi-faceted plan for game night entertainment including pre-game, in-game and post-game

o   Utilize a variety of assets including video, audio and digital resources to support entertainment efforts.  Research best practices around the league and other sports organizations to improve the in-game experience.

o   Develop the production script for each home game

o   Fulfill game obligations for sponsors and Fan Experience Packages by working with all staff to ensure complete customer satisfaction

o   Coordinate and manage game day entertainment staff (includes PA Announcer, Arena Host, Fan Crew, mascots, etc.)

o   Develop plan for a variety of entertainment to keep the fan experience fresh and exciting throughout the season

Sales

o   Cultivate new ticket and sponsorship sales during the off-season, manage customer relationships and meet a personal sales quota

o   Maintain an off-season schedule of sales calls and contacts

o   Assist in the execution and fulfillment of all team corporate partnership agreements by working with the Communications Manager to ensure customer satisfaction

Miscellaneous

o   Assist with the design and development of marketing content  

o   Manage and coordinate all community events in which the team participates including appearances and events, and manage and fulfill the team’s community donation requests

o   Assist with the overall functions of the organization, including office tasks, attending team events and gameday operations

o   Assist in overseeing all logistics of game days with a focus on successful fulfillment of sponsorship agreements (includes set up of signage, coordinating sponsor elements with the Communications Manager, etc)

Qualifications

·        Proficient in Photoshop & InDesign.  Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Video editing experience and knowledge of Daktronics show & scoring system is a plus.     

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Proven job reliability, professionalism, diligence, dedication, creativity and attention to detail

·         Ability to multi-task, think outside the box and be very creative and innovative is essential
