Erie BayHawks Graphics & Video Production Internship

Start Date/End Date – September 2015 /March 2016

The Erie BayHawks are looking for an outgoing and driven Graphic and Video Production Intern for the 2015-16 NBA Development League season. This position will work directly with the Entertainment Manager as well as the Communication and Client Services Manager to enhance the team’s video marketing. Intern must be prepared to work long hours and maintain a professional attitude and appearance. Candidate must be a team player willing to help out wherever they are needed including other departments in the organization.

DESCRIPTION: This position will assist the Entertainment Manager as well as the Communication and Client Services Manager with creating and developing digital video projects to be displayed in the arena, on the team’s website and social media platforms. Graphics and videos will be used to enhance team assets and provide a better fan experience at the Erie Insurance Arena.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

- Design and Create graphics that will be used in team marketing projects as well as in-arena

- Capture game action, fans, promotions and entertainment aspects of the game

- Cut and edit clips for use in highlight videos, online news distributions and website and social media use

- Recording post-game and post-practice interviews with coaches and players

- Shoot, edit and produce video board and website features

- Create videos from BayHawks community appearances

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be able to shoot, edit and develop video clips

- Work quickly and efficiently on assigned projects

- Ability to work irregular hours (significant amount of home games)

- Previous experience in the sports industry is preferred

- Video editing software on a personal laptop is preferred

- Graphic design capabilities including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are a plus

COMPENSATION: This internship will be unpaid however we will work closely with the student’s school to ensure the student receives college credit if applicable.

Erie BayHawks Marketing & Communications Internship

Start Date/End Date – September/April

The Erie BayHawks are looking for an outgoing and driven Marketing and Communications Intern for the 2015-16 NBA Development League season. This position will assist the Communication and Client Services Manager as well as the Entertainment Manager. Job duties will include assisting with all aspects of the team’s marketing and media relations efforts, including but not limited to writing and editing team publications, newsletters and press releases as well as assisting with the coordination and execution of community appearances and in-game promotions.

DESCRIPTION: The Marketing and Communications intern will be required to work in the BayHawks office as well as all game nights. While in the office, the intern will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of community events, development of in-game promotional ideas, creation of stories for the team’s game program and website, and expanding the team’s media relations efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in the creation of stories for the team’s program

- Assist in the creation of the team’s media guide

- Update the team’s game notes prior to all games (home and away)

- Develop ideas and write stories for the team’s website

- Help maintain the team’s social media sites

- Manage and maintain databases

- Assist with coordinating e-mail marketing strategies

- Assist with Coordinating and executing team community appearances

- Assist with the implementation of all in-game promotions

- Help lead the BayHawks in-game entertainment squad

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must have advanced writing skills

- Work independently on projects

- Work quickly and efficiently on assigned projects

- Ability to work irregular hours as needed (includes all team home games)

- Previous experience in the sports industry is preferred

Erie BayHawks Operations Internship

Start Date/End Date – October 2015 /April 2016

The Erie BayHawks are looking for an outgoing and driven Operations Intern for the 2015-16 NBA Development League season. This position will assist the Entertainment and Operations Manager with all the team’s operational duties.

DESCRIPTION: The Operations Intern will be required to work in the BayHawks office as needed as well as all game nights. While in the office, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with all merchandise operations as well as coordination of game night set-up and tear down. On game nights, the intern will be responsible to assist with oversight of the Kids Wing, merchandise stands and other areas of the arena.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist in merchandise set-up as well as pre/post game inventory

- Ensure that team storage areas are kept clean and organized

- Assist in set-up and tear down of team signage

- Arrange the locker room set-up for game night entertainment crews

- Assist with the recruitment and training of game night staff

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be outgoing and a team player

Ticket Sales Internship - Erie BayHawks (Erie, PA)

Erie BayHawks Ticket Sales Internship

Start Date/End Date – September 2015/April 2016

The Erie BayHawks are looking to for an outgoing and driven Ticket Sales Intern for the 2015-16 NBA Development League season. This position will work directly with the entire Ticket Sales Staff to generate ticket package and group ticket sales. The Ticket Sales Intern should possess excellent people skills, time management skills and be highly organized. The ideal candidate must also be prepared to work irregular hours (nights and weekends), maintain a professional attitude and appearance, and be a team player willing to help out wherever they are needed including other departments in the organization.

DESCRIPTION: The Ticket Sales intern will be required to work in the BayHawks office as well as all game nights. Candidate will be responsible for knowing all Erie BayHawks ticket sales products and identifying what product fits the client/fan the best. Candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast paced sales driven environment. This position is call-heavy and candidate must be able to handle success and rejection in a positive manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Generate package and group ticket sales

- Cold call perspective customers in order to meet weekly, monthly and seasonal sales goals

- Create and implement different theme nights

- Responsible for ensuring that all fans have an enjoyable time at BayHawks games

- Manage the Ticket Sales Table during home games to assist with customer service and generate sales

- Be willing and available to help with other duties assigned
