The LA Clippers are now accepting applications for our 2017-18 Game Night Staff. Game night staff play an instrumental role in creating the fan experience for our patrons before, during, and after each Clippers home game at STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles. MVP Services is entrusted to consistently deliver memorable experiences and personalized attention to our MVP Members. Staff will represent enthusiasm,-professionalism, and reliability, and will gain valuable experience in sales/service, retention, and event planning in the Clippers front office.

G R O U P E V E N T S
Group Events manages exclusive experiences and special events for large groups during the season. Staff will be responsible for managing fan tunnels, court times, the upgrade table, lining up kids with players during National Anthem, half-time performances, etc.

C O M M U N I T Y R E L A T I O N S
Community Relations impacts hundreds of thousands of youth in the greater LA area each year. Staff serve an important role in the implementation of community programs and fundraising activities both during games and at community events throughout the season.

C O R P O R A T E P A R T N E R S H I P S
Corporate Partnerships manages the relationship between the LA Clippers and our corporate partners. Staff will lead on-court contests, facilitate on-site activations, and coordinate hospitality experiences for our corporate partners.

G A M E D A Y S A L E S P R O G R A M
The Clippers Game Day Sales Program conducts a 50/50 raffle on behalf of the LA Clippers Foundation. Staff will gain valuable sales experience that will enable them to succeed during each game day.

D I G I T A L M E D I A
Digital Media creates the digital experience for Clippers fans around the world. Staff will assist in the creation and deployment of assets across the LA Clippers digital platforms, including the team's website, social media channels and other online properties.

G A M E P R E S E N T A T I O N
Game Entertainment assists with production related to game day operations, performance teams and dance clinics and classes. Staff will assist with these elements on every level, from booking logistics to stage management.

M A R K E T I N G
Marketing promotes the club within the local market and across the globe for the development of long-term revenue growth. Staff will assist with fan activations and events that bring fans closer to the team, supporting theme nights and giveaway items in-arena.

Account Executive, Group Sales - Los Angeles Clippers (Los Angeles, CA)

Job Summary

The LA Clippers are seeking a passionate, committed, and energetic sales person to join the team in selling group tickets. The selected candidate will be responsible for selling and servicing new group sales accounts, creating new ideas to increase ticket sales, and performing basic office functions as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

•  Make 80 phone calls per day to targeted demographics to sell group tickets and programs.

•  Actively pursue new business and determine new ways to acquire leads.

•  Meet or exceed monthly sales goals as determined by the Group Sales Manager.

•  Create and maintain long term clients and relationships.

Basketball Operations Database Administrator - Los Angeles Clippers (Los Angeles, CA)

Job Summary

An experienced database administrator who will assist with maintenance and improvement of current database infrastructures, while also managing interaction with multiple outside data sources.  Responsible for database performance tuning, security, developing high availability solutions, replication, and solution strategies.  The database manager will work closely with the Basketball Analytics Department, IT Department, and other members of the Basketball Operations staff.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Monitor databases to optimize database performance, resource use, and physical implementations of databases; addresses a variety of database integration issues including migration between disparate databases, integration, maintenance/conversion, capacity planning issues, and new applications.

· Process and maintain data feeds from various sources via Rest API and XML/JSON loads(NBA, NCAA, G-League, etc.).

· Maintain availability and integrity of databases through multiple access schemes; facilitates sharing of common data by overseeing proper key and index management and data dictionary maintenance.

· Manages the development and documentation of databases features through change management software and regularly meets with stakeholders to review data integrity.

· Monitors and manages database backups, logs, and journals; installs, maintains, and upgrades database software; restores and/or recovers data as required.

· Creates, procures and maintains various database related documents such as manuals and programmers’ handbooks.

· Support basketball operations in other tasks as required.

Characteristics / Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer programming field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, etc).

· 3+ years of relevant SQL Server 2012+ experience is a must.

· Experience with Rest APIs data warehousing and processing large JSON and XML files.

· Experience with varied programming and scripting languages (Python, C++, Java, Ruby, R…).

· Experience with performance tuning and optimization.

· Experience with clouded SQL library management software for documentation.

Job Summary

The Director of Game Presentation will build and lead a team dedicated to producing the most engaging and exciting game experience in sports. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director of Game Presentation will be responsible for the creative vision, implementation, and execution of the in-arena experience for the LA Clippers and Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (NBA G-League).  The Director of Game Presentation will oversee all game presentation and entertainment staff including in-arena hosts, mascot, crowd crew, dance teams, game night staff, music staff, and other entertainment assets.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop breakthrough content and unparalleled fan experiences.
  • Direct all LA Clippers home games and other events as required
  • Design and develop game day and event show content, organizing run of show and script writing for all departments.
  • Serve as executive producer of all videoboard content production including the video open, in-game features and other video elements.
  • Coordinate shoots with players for in-arena videoboard features.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Partnership department to develop in-game promotions that maximize the fan experience and partnership satisfaction.
  • Oversee all in-game music production.
  • Oversee the selection of National Anthem, Color Guard and Halftime performances.
  • Manage all members of the Game Night Staff.
  • Research new talent in the music and entertainment industries to enhance the entertainment experience.

·         Basketball and sports experience preferred.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The LA Clippers are seeking hard working, positive, and passionate individuals that are committed to becoming an industry sales leader. All Inside Sales Executives will be responsible for selling season tickets, mini plans, event suites, and groups. Revenue will be generated via phone, email marketing, face to face presentations, in-arena tours and out-of-office appointments. Day to day leadership and mentoring will be provided by the Inside Sales Manager.  The position pays hourly wages + Commission and Bonus Opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for the sale of new full season tickets, partial season ticket plans, group tickets, premium seating, and single game event suites
• Minimum 125 outbound phone calls daily
• Expected to prospect and qualify all potential sales opportunities
• Maintain computerized records of all season ticket customers and prospects with our CRM system
• Provide excellent customer service
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
• Assist customer service efforts (mailing invoices, tickets, etc…)
• Assist with Select-A-Seat events
• Set appointments, show seats, give arena tours
