2014-15 Game Night Internship - Photography Internship - Los Angeles Clippers (Los Angeles, CA)



Applicants must be detail oriented, have customer service experience, strong communication and organizational skills and have an outgoing personality. The ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and in a timely manner, work well in a team environment, perform under tight deadlines and exhibit sound judgment on a consistent basis is required.

The Clippers have one Photography Game Night Internship position available for the upcoming 2014-15 season. Intern candidates must have their own equipment and need advanced skills with the ability to produce professional quality photographs. Interns must be available for all pre and regular season Clippers home games to meet the photography needs of the Marketing/Sponsorship, Community Relations, Group Sales and Fan Relations departments. Individuals selected must also have a flexible schedule that includes availability starting at 4:00 pm on game nights. Internships will begin in mid October 2014 and run through May or June 2015 averaging two to three games per week. Additionally, photo interns will be asked to attend off-site events in order to document sponsor participation throughout the season. Financial Analyst - Los Angeles Clippers (Los Angeles, CA)

The Los Angeles Clippers are looking for a Financial Analyst to assist with budget planning, financial forecasting, accounting and analytical support for the upcoming season. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and the incumbent should possess strong analytical and financial skills, be able to create complex financial models, be highly skilled in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and be able to produce and deliver complex financial presentations for management. The candidate must have a high level of personal integrity and professional ethics.  In addition, the ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of corporate finance and accounting, and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff in the organization via written and oral communication. Strong qualitative and quantitative skills are a must. ** A cover letter is required to be considered for this position.**

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

  • Perform financial analysis and modeling as assigned (including modeling future operating performance metrics).

  • Compile, research, analyze and utilize LAC and NBA data to provide useful information to aid the organization in achieving its goals.

  • Develop, update, and maintain existing databases and models that can be repeatedly used to gather various financial and statistical information.

  • Assist with the preparation of materials to be used in management presentations.

  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and rolling forecasts.

  • Prepare pro forma analysis for upcoming events.

  • Track and analyze key operating metrics.

  • Support accounting staff as necessary.

  • Performs other duties/projects as assigned. 

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  •  Minimum  of 1-2 years experience as an analyst required.
