2014-15 LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS NEW MEDIA INTERNSHIP POSITION: GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

The LA Clippers New Media Department is responsible for all areas relating to the team’s online properties, including clippers.com, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) as well as graphic design.

Required Skills: The graphic design intern must possess advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) as well as strong understanding of producing content according to web and print standards. Photographic skills are also favorable to help acquire images for editorial purposes.

The graphic design intern is required to work game nights and will share responsibilities with other department interns throughout the season. There may be an opportunity for office hours.

 A list of game responsibilities is listed below.

Typical Game Night Schedule:
Begin: Three hours prior to tip-off
End: 1-hour following completion of game

LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create graphics (for print/web) to help promote team sales, promotions as well as other marketing collateral
  • Produce pre/postgame graphics relating to game day events
  • Assist with providing additional material for in-game posts to team’s social media sites
  • Upload photos to team galleries
  • Update game information for team website as necessary
  • Posting content to website

The LA Clippers New Media Department is responsible for all areas relating to the team’s online properties, including clippers.com, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) as well as graphic design.

Required Skills: The web producer intern must have experience working with content management systems as well as social media platforms. Plus: strong working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator). The web producer intern is required to work game nights and will share responsibilities with other department interns throughout the season. There may be an opportunity for office hours.

  • Coordinate the deployment of editorial, sales and marketing content across team’s online properties, including articles and promotional materials
  • Acquire content relating to games as well as special team events for deployment on team’s online properties
  • Monitor social media channels and produce reports using analytic tools
  • Assist with other multimedia duties, including photography (still and video) and graphics
  • Maintenance of website as needed
