Individuals selected must also have a schedule that allows them to be available starting at 3:00pm Monday through Friday and all day on weekends. (Only applicants that can meet the schedule requirements will be considered).  Internships will begin in the last week of September 2014 and run through May or June 2015, averaging two to three games per week. Game night interns will be required to attend all home games and special events.

Sales, Service, & Marketing: Client Relations/Customer Service
Account Services Executive - Los Angeles Clippers (Los Angeles, CA)


The Los Angeles Clippers are looking for an enthusiastic service and sales professional that will have the primary  responsibility for the retention and satisfaction of Clippers Season Ticket Members (MVPs).

Account Service Executives must have the ability to effectively build positive relationships with their assigned accounts and also meet assigned sales goals. Selling is roughly 50% of this position and the right candidate will be able to successfully handle both retention and sales responsibilities at a high level.

ASEs will also be assigned select Season Ticket Holder Member experiences to coordinate, plan and implement. These experiences include events held throughout the year at STAPLES Center and off-site venues.

Position Responsibilities:
• Create personal relationships with assigned accounts throughout the year and maintain a high renewal percentage.
• Generate new business revenue through the sale of season and group tickets, partial packages and event suites.
• Coordinate and manage select Season Ticket Member experiences and programs.
• Work Clippers home games, special events and networking events.

Qualifications:
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Two years of customer service experience
• One year of sales experience

Duties and Expectations - Sell blocks of tickets to companies, civic organizations, youth groups, and more, while being a valuable contributor to a total team effort in other ticket sales and service roles.

Web Developer - Los Angeles Clippers (Los Angeles, CA)

JOB SUMMARY
The Los Angeles Clippers' Web Developer  will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of sites that are cross-browser and mobile device compatible across multiple systems. The team is looking for a professional with broad knowledge of design and web platforms to help the Website Administrator develop and execute the team's business objectives.
 

Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize, design, and code front-end responsive websites
• Research and apply best-practice web techniques for clean HTML, image optimization, and responsive/adaptive behavior
• Create clean and valid code for modularity and reusability
• Create and manage style guides and design standards for site pages
• Provide technical recommendations for project ideas
• Participate in project walkthroughs and requirements review sessions
• Lead testing and deployment of web projects
• Assist with additional multimedia projects, including video/photo capture and video production
 

Qualifications / Required Skills:

Experience with responsive design to build a single site for desktop and mobile devices
• Experience with current Internet standards, including cross-browser styling and optimizations (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari)
• High proficiency with Photoshop
• Deep expertise with current front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience with CSS preprocessors, such as Compass and SASS
• Experience with graceful degradation and progressive enhancement across browsers and devices
• Ability to integrate third-party components, such as live chat and marketing promotions
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices
• Familiar with social media APIs include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest
• Adaptability – adapts to change in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to handle frequent changes
 

Additional applicable skills preferred:

Backend and/or mobile technology experience such as Apache/Tomcat, MySQL, iOS and/or Android development.
