Position Summary
Retail will be a key opportunity for engagement with NBA fans in China. The VP, Retail will ensure that NBA Stores, as operated by third party retail operators, features a collection of merchandise that represents the NBA lifestyle. The stores should be consistent in its branding and messaging in all aspects of its operations with the NBA’s values. In addition, the VP, Retail will direct the e-commerce, m-commerce and direct mail strategy to ensure integration in experience and messaging across all channels of distribution.

Major Responsibilities
Initially, the primary responsibility will be to work with the various stakeholders to develop the infrastructure and processes in the areas of product, wholesale operations, retail operations and store rollout to ensure a successful retail initiative. The individual is also responsible for ensuring that merchandising, marketing and retail design is cohesive with the NBA’s business goals, communications and standards. The VP must also provide leadership and personal example to ensure a workforce that is fully developed, effectively engaged and optimally retained.

• Provide brand and operational leadership to third party retail operators
• Serve as internal subject matter expert on all areas of store operations and management

Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Procurement will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives for goods and services across a broad range of areas, including, without limitation, corporate services, print, professional services (consulting, etc.), technology, and building operations of approximately US$20 million spend. Major Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing and Expense Management

Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing the overall Accounts Payable activities of
NBA China. The role also provides ongoing support to the Director of Finance &
Controller on related management and statutory reporting, treasury, internal
control, tax and asset management issues.
Major Responsibilities (*)
• Supervise a financial accounts payable team and responsible for the overall
management and controls around the company’s Accounts Payable function
to comply with internal controls and policies, US GAAP as well as the
statutory requirement.
• Reporting to Director of Financial Control and assist in the execution of
financial controls. Ensure compliance of financial policies and that adequate
process controls are in place.
• Act as key point of contact for external auditors and various government
departments on statutory related filing matters. Ensure full compliance with
local regulations.
• Review month end closing result and make sure of its accuracy.
• Assist the Director of Finance & Controller in updating the company financial
policies.
• Enforce cost saving initiatives and assist in achieving projected profit margins.
 

Required Skills/Knowledge
• Fully conversant with China GAAP
• Experience in computerized accounting system environment
• Detailed-oriented, sensitive to numbers and be able to read behind the
numbers
• Organized and able to work in pressurized environment to meet strict
deadlines
• Fluent in Mandarin. Fair spoken and written English
Experience Needed
• Minimum 8 year experience in finance and accounting, specifically in
Accounts Payable related functions.
• Experience in service industry, preferred: sports, advertising, media and
events
• A minimum of 4 years experience working in Big International Audit firm
• Experience closing full set of books at multinational or local China listed
company.


Educational Background Required

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will have unquestionable integrity and honesty. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be team oriented. The candidate will have a combination public / private accounting background with a past history of managing and performing the daily accounting processes and completing the month end closing of the ledger in a timely and accurate fashion.

Major Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day management of Billing, AR and Collection.
• Perform monthly detailed review of financial statements, prepare and / or review account analysis and / or reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly results presentation for Senior Management.
• Review and coordinate with Accounts Manager / Director on AR, Collection or Client Credit Review.
• Take active role in the company’s external audits. Ensure the Company provides timely and accurate information to its auditors throughout the entire process.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Professional and technical accounting knowledge
• Knowledge of Peoplesoft preferred
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel
