Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
• Hire and train a team of Ticket Sales Account Executives
• Manage on a day-to-day basis a team of Ticket Sales Account Executives
• Hold weekly sales meetings with sales team
• Work with team to make sure team offers first-class customer service
• Responsible for role playing and working with team on closing sales over the phone as well as face-to-face appointments
• Work with senior management team to develop creative ideas for sales team and client base
• Work closely with marketing, Box Office Manager and President/CEO for budget management and forecasting
• Work with marketing and sales staff in order to generate customer leads and promote public awareness
• Generate own leads by prospecting sales territory and generating referrals
• Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly and annual goals for team and individuals set by the President/CEO
• Attend games to promote the team by selling various ticketing packages on the concourse

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least three years experience working for professional sports franchise in ticket sales
• At least two years of management experience
• Proficient with Ticketmaster and Archtics, a plus

Computer Skills: Database Applications, Excel, Outlook and Word software

Title: Director of Sponsorship

Reports To: President/COO

Summary
The Director, Sponsorship is responsible for generating leads and closing advertising and sponsorship partnerships for the team. This person should be an outgoing, energetic and creative sales professional who is a clear self starter with strong relationship skills who will be responsible for the development of corporate marketing partnerships for the Atlanta Dream. This sales professional will integrate signage, promotions, internet advertising, hospitality, tickets and all other marketing resources in the development and sale of these corporate marketing relationships.

Responsibilities
• Sell new corporate partner relationships
• Develop dynamic sales presentations for new business prospects; design PowerPoint proposals incorporating research of category dynamics and clear understanding of the prospective partner's marketing goals
• Provide accurate, reliable information for sales forecasts and prepare weekly revenue reports
• Manage and ensure fulfillment of all corporate partner programs in association with the department head and sponsor services area
• Establish strong relationships throughout partner companies
• Identify local and national trends and emerging markets, and adjust sales/service strategies accordingly
• Research and write business action plans to support new business directions
• Liaise with other departments on sponsored programs (e.g., community relations, game presentation, ticket sales & service)
• Meet or exceed revenue goals
• Other related duties as required

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of sponsorship or related sales experience
• Strong existing advertising agency and client relationships
• Television broadcast sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of the advertising business preferred
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with VIP’s as well as internal and external clients at all levels
• High level of initiative and inner drive
• Candidate must have excellent problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
• The ability to generate new and creative sales ideas
• Candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Description
Serve as the chief executive of the team. Plan, develop, and establish objectives and policies for the team in accordance with League directives and business charter. Build a profitable organization with a recognized quality product and winning team.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Direct and coordinate all aspects of the team business operations including ticket sales, sponsorship sales, marketing, game operations, public relations, community relations and finance
• Participate actively in business development for both ticket sales and sponsorships
• Develop, supervise, and evaluate the team management staff. Evaluate performance of managers for compliance with established team policies and objectives, and contribution in attaining objectives
• Develop annual short term and long range strategic business plans
• Implement and manage the franchise business operations budget
• Work with Basketball Operations to develop cohesive and integrated programs using players and coaches
• Develop strong grass roots programs to promote women’s basketball and develop new fans
• Interact with league personnel on all matters concerning the franchise
• Maximize profit and return through the overall management of the business and staff
• Direct all aspects of the team operations, including establishing all programs undertaken in the arena
• Create, present and execute a strong strategic vision
• Establish policies and procedures for all business operations in conjunction with Business Manager

Qualifications
• Bachelors degree
• Candidate will have 7 or more years of business experience
• The candidate must be committed to building a world-class operation in both business and team performance
• Must have proven experience in working cooperatively with management, success at managing staff, and be an effective communicator preferably having experience in public speaking and interaction with the media
• Experience in managing in the television and entertainment industry, in the travel and convention industry, or in a sports-oriented organization a plus
• Strong leadership skills a must
