Title: Corporate Partnerships Manager

Reports To: Vice President of Sales


Summary: The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for generating leads and closing mid level advertising and sponsorship partnerships for the team as well as handling the activation elements. This person should be an outgoing, energetic and creative sales professional who is a clear self starter with strong relationship skills who will be responsible for the development of corporate marketing partnerships. This sales professional will integrate signage, promotions, internet advertising, hospitality, tickets and all other marketing resources in the development and sale of these corporate marketing relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
• Sell new corporate partner relationships

• Develop dynamic sales presentations for new business prospects; design PowerPoint proposals incorporating research of category dynamics and clear understanding of the prospective partner's marketing goals

• Provide accurate, reliable information for sales forecasts and prepare weekly revenue reports

• Manage and ensure fulfillment of all corporate partner programs in association with the department head and sponsor services area

• Establish strong relationships throughout partner companies

• Research and write business action plans to support new business directions

• Other related duties as required

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of sponsorship or related sales experience
• Strong existing advertising agency and client relationships
• Knowledge of the advertising business preferred
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with VIP’s as well as internal and external clients at all levels
• High level of initiative and inner drive
• Candidate must have excellent problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
• The ability to generate new and creative sales ideas
• Candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Powerpoint, Word and Excel.

PR & Marketing Coordinator / Graphic Designer

Position: Entry level

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Direct Reports: none


The Iowa Energy is seeking a passionate, energetic, and committed candidate to handle public relations, marketing and graphic design for the team.  This position will work directly with, and to enhance, the sales, marketing and game presentation of the Iowa Energy organization.  This position is ideal for someone looking to start their career in sports!

Public Relations Responsibilities:

  • Develop positive working relationships with local and national media
  • Pitch stories to local and national media, both on-the-court stories and off-the-court stories (corporate communications, community relations, etc.)
  • Handle all media requests for players, coaches, staff
  • Assist with all assignments related to public appearance engagements for players, staff and coaches
  • Continue to grow team awareness in the community and region
  • Maintain a master list of all player interviews, photos, videos and unique content
  • Maintain master list of all team and individual player records
  • Attend all home games and write the post game recap press release of each game.  Audit or view all away games online and issue the post game press release
  • Creatively establish weekly or monthly "insider" opportunities to present to fans via e-blasts, YouTube series, social media, in-arena broadcast, etc

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving the strategy and execution of all external messaging, inclusive of internal and external marketing channels, sales, public relations and community initiatives
  • Activate and maintain all team social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat, YouTube)
  • Work directly with sales staff to create and maintain engaging print, digital and social media content and campaigns
  • Help lead team of various interns during the season (PR, graphic design, video production) and off-season (promo team)
  • Seek out and arrange community appearances (mascot, player, coach, dance team or front office)
  • Coordinate staffing and implementation for all outside appearances
  • Website maintenance (generating stories, graphics, flow, etc)
  • Contribute to generating creative season taglines, themes, etc

Graphic Design Responsibilities:

  • Provide creative insight, planning and design of print, digital, radio, television, social media, website and in-arena materials
  • Design art and copy layouts for various team needs, including sales brochures & flyers, media guide, pocket schedule, banners, tickets, social media posts, website graphics and in-arena digital graphics (and video, if applicable).
  • Shoot, edit and publish various team videos (player/coach interviews, intro video, special occasion pieces, etc.)
  • Support the organization with any and all other graphic design needs

Other Responsibilities (not an exhaustive list):

  • Generate revenue through ticket and advertising sales
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by VPs, CRO and General Manager


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and communication skills, high energy and a passion for the product
  • Strong public speaking abilities
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts and social media
  • Professional level graphic design capabilities & video production preferred
  • A solid record of developing strong designs for a diverse set of projects and initiatives with an aesthetic that matches an overall brand
  • Prior experience in marketing, community relations & media relations with professional team/league is preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in computer software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • High energy, outgoing personality and the ability to work as a team player as well as independently
  • Must have portfolio of previous PR and design work upon request
