Overview of the Job: This position currently serves to market and maintain the Miami HEAT App daily. Brief Description of the Position

Overview of the Job: The Internet Services Translation Coordinator will be responsible for the translation, posting, creation and distribution of foreign language content for HEAT.com.  This position will serve as the liaison between the Internet Services Department and the Broadcast Department’s foreign language part-time employees.  .  The Coordinator will supervise the activities of the part-time employees and instruct those responsible for creating foreign language video.  This position will also create foreign language social media messaging and distribution for HEAT.com as well.

Must be able to speak write and translate Chinese-Mandarin. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a credited college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to monitor and handle multiple tasks. Time management skills needed. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines. Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop (or similar graphics program), HTML, social media application, translation tools and Microsoft Office programs.

Overview of the Job: Mobile Support Representatives are responsible for assisting fans and troubleshooting any issues that fans may be experiencing with our official mobile app. Representatives are highly visible, game-day experts on the Miami Heat app and thus maintain a can-do attitude. This is a part-time role that requires the ability to work nights and weekends.

  • Interact and engage with HEAT fans by successfully troubleshooting and resolving user issues
  • Maintain a positive influence and display the highest level of customer service for fans and guests at HEAT games in the arena.

Overview of the Job The Sr. Network Administrator is primarily responsible for the design, engineering and support of the IT infrastructure and related IT operations insuring overall systems availability, scalability, security, compliance and organizational integrity.

Responsibilities include mopping up sweat during games; rebounding pre-game/halftime; dispensing of water and towels; organization and maintenance of warmups during game; assist with laundry duties; washing/folding and putting away towels/uniforms; assist with cleanliness and organization of locker room; assist with bench setups/teardown. May be asked to help straighten equipment room; assist with player/coaches’ needs as directed by supervisor; stock refrigerators; assist Equipment Manager with any other duties assigned; assist visiting teams with moving and unloading equipment. Other duties assigned to you by staff of visiting team. Ideal candidate must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays on a flexible schedule. All team attendants are required to be at arena 3 1/2 hours prior to game time. Candidate must have great communication skills. Must be able to work well with others. Must be able to take direction. Overview of the Internship:The HEAT Group Publication’s Intern’s main job function is to assist the Manager of Publications & Communications with a number of daily tasks including proof reading, writing and fact-checking among others. They include the following: 

  • Proofread TIPOFF magazine on a daily basis including feature stories, player/game statistics and images.
    • edit text to ensure it is well written and logically structured
    • correct grammar and spelling
    • ensure the text is in line with HEAT guidelines
    • fact-check and raise queries with the author
    • look out for potential problems
    • ensure illustrations/photos and captions are correct

• Provide writing and editing support, including research, drafting, data analysis and fact-checking for Miami HEAT publications.

  • Proofread feature stories, etc. for the department.
  • Pitch (and write) stories for TIPOFF magazine.
  • Track and log TIPOFF magazine.
  • Assist in the creation and editing of the Miami HEAT Yearbook.
  • Complete assigned tasks timely and accurately.
