Fan Relations Account Executive - Utah Jazz (Salt Lake City, UT)

Job Summary:

The Fan Relations Department is dedicated to providing world-class customer service and delivering unique experiences and benefits to Utah Jazz Season Ticket Members. The Fan Relations Account Executive position contributes to that departmental goal and provides a tremendous opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. This position is responsible for managing, servicing, and building lasting relationships with a portfolio of Jazz season ticket members. In addition to daily operations, other responsibilities include maximizing season ticket renewals and sales, the planning and execution of member events, and continuously improving the season ticket membership experience.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide exceptional customer care and grow mutually beneficial client relationships by servicing inbound calls, making outbound calls, attending face-to-face meetings, conducting in-arena tours, sending emails and letters, performing seat visits, hosting member events, and other innovative means.
  • Utilize CRM management system to track and report all aspects of the account (progress of relationship, client's needs, sales opportunities, etc.)
  • Create memorable, customized experiences for season ticket members while working during regular business hours, at Utah Jazz home games (up to 44 games plus playoffs), and during exclusive member events.
  • Maximize revenues through client renewals, seat upgrades, additional ticket sales, and add-on purchases.
  • Reach or exceed outreach, renewal and new sales goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working in a customer service or hospitality related role.

  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude while potentially working long hours, nights weekends, holidays, and in stressful situations.
  • Must be a positive team player who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, honest, innovative, flexible, energetic, outgoing and resilient.

Facility Operations/Security: Event Guest Relations
Premium Seating Host - Utah Jazz (Salt Lake City, UT)

Job Summary:

The Premium Seating Department is dedicated to providing world-class premium service and delivering unique experiences and benefits to Utah Jazz premium seating holders. The Premium Seating Host position is responsible for greeting, seating, and developing professional relationships with guests before, throughout, and immediately following each pre and regular season Utah Jazz home game.

Premium Seating Host locations include: The Jazz 100 Club, the Lexus Club, the Executives Club, the WCF Terrace Club, the Super Club, Courtside Suites, Suite-level bridges, and club entrances. Specific assignments will be determined by the host’s direct supervisor at the time of hire. Expected hours will vary depending on the Utah Jazz home game schedule and specific host location assignments.

The position is seasonal and is expected to begin mid-September of each year and continue through the last Utah Jazz home game (playoffs included). An anticipated end date will be June 30 of each year. Hosts will be expected to re-apply for the position at the conclusion of each Utah Jazz season if interested in doing so.

     Primary Duties:

  • Warmly welcome guests as they arrive for pre-game dinner and half-time amenities
  • Be knowledgeable and familiar with the arena, premium seating locations and your specific assigned area to best assist guests
  • Present yourself in a confident and professional manner in both appearance and personality
  • Exhibit a positive and happy attitude that is friendly and contagious to those around you
  • Scan tickets to games/events
  • Ensure your assigned area is properly prepared and ready for guests to arrive
  • Make strategic decisions concerning club flow

Job Summary:

The role is responsible for crafting, implementing and managing the overall strategy surrounding the Utah Jazz mobile platform.  This position will take lead in the structure and strategy of a newly developed mobile app platform with various point-of-sales systems, building data workflows, finding strategic insights, and making informed recommendations for application.

Vice President of Medical Services/Sports/Science - Utah Jazz (Salt Lake City, UT)

Job Summary:

The Vice President of Medical Services provides a pivotal leadership role to coordinate the overall health of team player personnel. This position oversees the Utah Jazz medical services staff to ensure improved heath, performance and well-being for all players. The VP of Medical Services is responsible for setting courses of action for performance enhancement, injury prevention, injury maintenance, injury rehabilitation and return to play protocol and clearance.

     Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for the hiring and management of all medical related positions within the organization including training, sports science, strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, physical therapy, physiotherapy, nutrition and massage
  • Create and implements policies and procedures to maintain the highest quality of medical care, minimize risk and support optimal health and development of athletes
  • Manage and direct relationship University of Utah Health Care, primary provider of health services to Utah Jazz.
  • Coordinate management and rehabilitation of illnesses and injuries with the athletic trainer, physical therapist, and other medical staff as needed
  • Ensures consistent standards of practice
  • Communicate with coaching staff when appropriate, especially regarding return to play issues.
  • Serve as a recognized authority to direct medical care and make treatment recommendations, make decisions regarding return to participation, and set appropriate activity limits for players returning to partial participation
  • Provide consultation to, and collaborate with other medical team members to develop and implement improved screening, prevention, and performance enhancement programs
  • Identify the latest sports science and performance research and make recommendations for the integrations of these finding into working practices
  • Travel with the team when assigned

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience developing and managing sports science and/or performance programs for elite athletes (specifically with elite basketball or professional players preferred)
  • Expert clinical skills in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of commonly acquired athletic injuries and common medical conditions and illnesses seen in NBA player personnel
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, administrators and other appropriate staff
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative manner
  • Must be able to influence and effectively collaborate with specialty physicians and healthcare providers at all levels
  • An understanding of player health needs and the necessary safety precautions to prevent injury and health conditions
  • Deep understanding of the state-of-the-art technology surrounding athletic performance preferred
  • Candidates should have experience with elite academies, elite collegiate teams, and/or professional teams, particularly basketball teams
