Ticket Sales & Service Coordinator - Utah Jazz (Salt Lake City, UT)

Job Summary:

The Ticket Sales and Service Coordinator position is a tremendous opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. This position will play a vital role in the Premium Seating and Ticketing Team efforts to serve a diverse group of high profile clients with ownership in our luxury suites and premium clubs. The Ticket Sales and Service Coordinator will work closely with the department Vice President and Directors, providing project management, reporting and presentation development, event planning and administrative assistance.

Primary Duties:

  • Work closely with the department Vice President and Ticket Department Directors, providing project management, event planning, reporting and presentation development, and administrative assistance
  • Play a vital role in the research, development and execution of various promotions and communication pieces used to drive ticket sales and service operations
  • Lead in the planning and execution of various networking and relationship building events for current and prospective ticket buyers
  • Perform administrative duties for the department Vice President and Directors as needed, assisting with the big picture development and execution of the department strategies and vision
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects
  • Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary

  • Experience working with high-end/VIP clients in a customer service, hospitality and/or event planning related role is preferred
  • A firm understanding of Excel functions, PowerPoint, presentation development, budgeting and financial reporting is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required
  • Must be a positive team player who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, honest, innovative, flexible, energetic, outgoing, and resilient


Physical Requirements:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess
  • The person must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time

Ticket Sales & Service Intern - Utah Jazz (Salt Lake City, UT)

The Utah Jazz is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated intern to assist our Group Sales Team. This internship program offers the opportunity to gain valuable skills as you work in the unique and exciting environment of the professional sports industry. You will learn aspects of group event planning, ticket sales, prospecting, reporting, and client management in a fun, fast-paced environment. This internship begins December 1st, 2017 and ends April 15th, 2018.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Jazz Ticket Sales & Service Sales team in their daily pursuit of individual and company sales goals
  • Assist the Jazz Ticket Sales & Service team on Jazz and Stars game nights.  These duties include coordinating and assisting with group events, distribution of tickets/credentials and other game night responsibilities as assigned.
  • Contribute to the team by coordinating event management aspects of sales initiatives
  • Perform administrative office duties including filing, organizing, data entry and mailing
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and enthusiastic about working in a sports-related field
  • Self-starter who is also comfortable with learning and collaborating in a dynamic team environment
  • Primary work location will be the Jazz team offices located at the Zions Bank Basketball Campus and at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
  • Physical requirements of the job may include lifting approximately 30 pounds
  • Work schedule will vary and will include office hours as well as staffing events and home games on evenings, weekends or holidays

This is paid, part-time internship reporting to the Director of Group Sales.
