Job Title: Digital Graphic Designer

Department: Creative Services

Reports to: Sr. Manager of Creative Services

FLSA Status: Full-Time/Regular/Exempt

Position Summary/Objective: Responsible for the development and execution of creative concepts for advertising and marketing collateral including presentations, brochures, direct mail, print and online advertising, corporate identity and packaging for the Timberwolves and Lynx

Essential Functions:

  1. Responsible for design conception and layout for digital graphic artwork for the Timberwolves and Lynx, including, but not limited to, digital banner ads and email imagery.
  2. Work with departmental leaders to develop digital communication creative needs and collateral.
  3. Handle requests pertaining to team and partnership logos applications.
  4. Assist projects manager in maintaining the library of electronic images, logos and year-to-year advertising pieces as needed.
  5. Provide design elements and technical instructions to outside vendors for print layout, production and assembly.
  6. Work effectively as a brand ambassador for the organization and representative of the Creative Services group.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other:

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  2. Computer skills required: experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
  3. Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Animate (Flash), Edge (HTML 5)) is required.
  4. Strong knowledge of Ad Builder programs (DoubleClick, Sizmek) is strongly preferred.
  5. Knowledge of web design best practices (pixel resolution, social media restrictions, image saving tactics) required.
  6. Ad campaign knowledge (tagging and uploading processes) is required.
  7. Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver preferred.
  8. Ability to multi-task and complete several projects simultaneously.
  9. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a creative/graphic design role, or agency work is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Communications or related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00PM. In addition to working office hours staff may work Timberwolves and Lynx home games, in addition to external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff may frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move boxes or other items weighing up to 30 pounds.

Position may require travel to external events.

Position Summary/Objective:  This position serves as a visual effects animator and feature producer for the video experience at Timberwolves and Lynx game nights and events. This position will integrate live-action footage, graphics, text, and sound to create dynamic graphic animations and entertainment features.

Essential Functions:  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions:

  1. Produce and create graphic animations and entertainment features for the Videoboard and Digital Signage systems for all Timberwolves and Lynx Home Games.
  2. Oversee process and creation of dynamic motion graphics animations.
  3. Produce and create graphic elements to activate partnership initiatives, as well as utilize all aspects of Digital Signage to greatly enhance the theme of the event
  4. Model, texturize, animate and render computer-generated graphics, particle effects, digital sets and backgrounds for use in digital signage production
  5. Design and create graphic elements for use in other Wolves/Lynx in-arena events and presentations
  6. Assist with occasional studio production shoots ensuring all production standards are met.
  7. Generate accurate affidavit reports for departments various Digital Signage Systems.
  8. Research and recommend software/hardware technology needed to design, develop and assemble motion graphics and animations

Position Summary/Objective:  This position is responsible for the oversight and creation of all in-arena design/content for the live experience at Timberwolves and Lynx home games. The Sr. Producer will also lead the design process (project intake, production assignment, project quality control, and final delivery) for the Live Programming Department and manage all content creation for games and team-related events.

Essential Functions:  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions:

  1. Oversee the creation of all video features and graphics for the in-arena show at Timberwolves and Lynx home games.
  2. Lead the Quality Control effects of all video features and graphics for the in-arena show, including but not limited to: proofing, reviewing, and evaluating output.
  3. Lead projects including but not limited to: entertainment features, promotional content, public service announcements, digital stat signage and LED signage.
  4. Determine scope of production and post-production requests and edit, design and/or assign responsibilities to staff editors and designers.
  5. Collaborate with Creative Projects Manager to develop and implement processes for managing all digital board content including production space and archiving finalized projects.
  6. Work with Director of Broadcast and Video Technologies to determine hardware and software upgrades and maintain/manage assets
  7. Develop content creation ideas, scheduling and execution plans with content creation teams.
  8. Work with Creative Services to develop and manage the “animated arena” Timberwolves and Lynx brands.
  9. Provide technical specifications and assistance to outside clients who produce their own content for Timberwolves and Lynx games.
