Description of the Position: The Mobile team seeks enthusiastic, tech-friendly individuals to join our department and help achieve our big goals. As a member of the App Squad, you will collaborate with our department to help support our main endeavor: transforming the AmericanAirlines Arena into a cashless and paperless environment. As a member of the App Squad, you will be required to work all home HEAT games and assist in the game or event day set up and preparation. 

Essential Requirements:

  • Serve as highly visible expert on the Miami HEAT app, engaging with fans and troubleshooting any issues
  • Answer fan questions and assist with Mobile Entry, Ticketing, and Wallet signup pregame
  • Work closely with the key team members on increasing mobile app usage and support of other mobile initiatives across the organization.
  • Execute marketing and user acquisition campaigns
  • Serve in an on-site leadership role at Miami HEAT events
  • Help plan, attend, and execute trainings on the HEAT app to internal staff members
  • Brainstorm and present ideas for increasing fan engagement through events, marketing campaigns, outreach, etc.
  • Develop post-event reports that showcase each sponsor’s exposure and prove the fulfillment of key goals 
  • Supporting the Mobile team with additional projects, as assigned

Description of the Position: The Miami HEAT are looking for an Analyst Assistant to support the Business Operation’s Analytics team in their job of performing data analytics to bring data insights that can drive key business decisions.  Essential requirements include:

  • Help with the development and implementation of predictive models based on machine learning (via Python) and data mining techniques.
  • To identify, design and build datasets with the appropriate features/ variables for the models to be developed.
  • Work with the other members of the analytics team to migrate development projects into production environments.

Must be highly proficiency in Python. Knowledge of machine learning basics: feature selection, feature extraction, data pre-processing, unsupervised and supervised learning. Understanding of database / data warehousing concepts is required. The candidate must be able to work onsite.

Associate Producer, Media Production- Part-Time - Miami HEAT (Miami, FL)

Description of the Position: The Associate Producer serves as a “Preditor” (Writer-Producer-Editor) responsible for writing, producing and editing full length features to air on HEATv and all digital platforms.  The Associate Producer works as part of a production team collaborating and assisting with all aspects of an on-location and/or in-studio production projects. Responsibilites include but are not limited to:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in video and television production is required. Must possess television production skills associated with that of live and remote TV production; pre and post production with 2-3 years of working experience. Must have strong creative skills and knowledge of sports entertainment in a production environment. Must also have excellent knowledge of basketball. Facility with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or comparable.

Description of the Position: The Manager, Publications & Communications is primarily responsible for managing the editorial process for the game day program and the yearbook.

Essential Duties and Responisbilites:

  • Oversee all editorial aspects of TIPOFF game day magazine including story assignment, copy-editing, headline writing, photo assignment and design.
