CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Team Energy members are the energetic and interactive team of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs; they are responsible for the implementation crowd activation, concourse entertainment and acting as support staff to the Game Operations department. They must always display an energetic, enthusiastic, friendly, professional and outgoing attitude to Spurs fans at Spurs games and at community appearances.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrated alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaboration with key internal/external resources and 3) Ongoing self development.

KRA'S (Key Responsibility Areas):

1. Interact/motivate/energize Spurs fans at all designated Spurs home games
2. Assistance in implementation of all on-court, in-crowd, and in-arena promotions
3. Assistance in keeping all Spirit Squad props organized, in good condition and stored appropriately after each game
4. Assistance in setup and storage of Mascot props, as well as keeping in good condition every game
5. Assistance in any additional duties assigned by Game Operations staff and team coach
6. Entertain and energize the crowd using creativity, special talents, and gadgets/props
7. Attendance at all designated team meetings
8. Attend all scheduled games unless prior arrangements have been made at the beginning of the season
9. Be available for any appearances throughout the season (if applicable)

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

The following measurement methods are intended to provide a sound basis for assessing the performance of the jobholder in this position. Although numerous methods are listed as suggested measurements the supervisor may elect to select only specific ones based on the need of the company at any point in time.

• Consistent game-to-game feedback from point of contact
• Internal / external customer surveys
 

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must have previous experience in dance, team interaction activities, cheerleading, martials arts, karate, mascoting, or mascot assisting
• Must have experience interacting with parties of 200+ people
• Must be at least 18 years of age by November 1, 2010
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must have an energetic attitude and flexible work schedule

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is identified for a current student (graduate or undergraduate) pursuing a degree in Sports Management or a related field. This paid internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on service and sales experience in the sports and entertainment industry.


KRA’s (Key Responsibility Areas):

1) Supports Season Ticket Service Team members with Service & Retention initiatives, including special events, Season Ticket benefit fulfillment and special programs for all three SS&E Franchises (Spurs, Silver Stars & Rampage)
2) Engages fans thru phone, email, and personal interactions; provides customer service and collaborates with staff members to enhance the fan experience
3) Identifies printing and supply needs of office and Season Ticket Headquarters and maintains organization for optimized efficiency
4) Updates customer-relationship management (CRM) database in a timely and accurate manner following fan interactions and at the request of Service Team
5) Selects and executes in-game promotions including Fan 15, Season Ticket Holder of the Game, and Co-Captain
 

Qualifications:

• Candidates who are able to earn college credit during at least one semester are preferred.
• Must be in either Junior, Senior, Graduate Level of College, OR final year of a technical, vocational or associates program

CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Game Operations & Special Events interns have the opportunity to see the business side of sports marketing first hand. Interns have the opportunity to work directly with San Antonio Silver Stars (WNBA), San Antonio Spurs (NBA), and San Antonio Rampage (AHL) sponsors, dealing with the initial contractual obligations, the implementation of those obligations, and the “wrap-up” of the contracts at season’s end. Internships are paid positions, but are not guaranteed employment once the internship is completed.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis:

2) Collaboration with key internal/external resources and

• General office duties including answering phones, archiving game photos, market research, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be available to work September 2010-May 2011
• Must be a junior or senior in a 4-year College, enrolled in a Masters Program, OR in your final year of a related Associates or Vocational Program

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The eligible candidate will carry a multitude of qualifications, including but not limited too; ability to maintain confidential documents and files, the skill to handle multiple tasks at one time, bring energy and self motivation to the position, provide effective organizational skills, enable proficiency to oversee multiple tasks and their progress, capable of developing and generating management reports and operational work orders. Must have a professional demeanor and maintain an inspired attitude. This position will screen phone calls, review mail, and maintain a calendar of meetings, events, and staff information and work on projects. Will be expected to prioritize, administer and prepare reports and correspondence. Provide and assist in the coordination between staff, potential client, and promoters as needed for the successful presentation of events. Other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in the effectiveness of building operations.
2. Responsible for the office readiness condition, ability to support events, and day-to-day operations.
3. Assist in the preparation of annual Operational budgets and capital expenditures.
4. Oversee the planning and direction of the Operations office to ensure all reports and correspondence materials properly prepared.
5. Set office work priorities and schedules based on events and building activities.
6. Maintain updated organizational chart and Operations department job descriptions and make recommendations for the best effectiveness of the staff.
7. Assist the Operations department with applicants and selections for employment based on the requirements set forth by the AT&T Center/SS&E HR department.
8. Assist in the filing and processing of all Operational staff when necessary in accordance with personnel policies, and coordinate actions with the AT&T Center/SS&E and Human Resources.
9. Assist in maintaining a good file system of all Operation information to include any tasks or projects inside/outside of the facilities.
10. Ensure that all work is preformed in accordance with good industry practices and safety regulations.
11. Assist the in maintaining files of all contractual services as it relates to the AT&T Center and its needs.
12. Ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines simultaneously.
13. Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies.
14. Gather and provide key information (reports and metrics) in advance of standing monthly meeting or calls.
15. Planning and scheduling activities by: maintaining calendars; coordinating internal and external meeting/events.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years in the administrative field and project work.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel (writing formulas, inserting hyperlinks)
• Experienced Auto CAD user
• Exceptional clerical and customer service skills to all levels of employees and vendors
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and team building skills.
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work long irregular hours and independently
• Background in construction or architectural fields preferred
• Proven record of project management from beginning to implementation
• Previously provided customer service and support to a entire team

Facility Operations/Security: Event Guest Relations
Event Production Coordinator - Spurs Sports & Entertainment (San Antonio, TX)

CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Event Production Coordinator will be responsible for primary coordination of event advancement for AT&T Center franchise and non-franchise activity. Results should reflect in: A) quality relations with guests, facility tenants, vendors and event promoters; and B) effective business practices conducive to the general mission, goals, objectives and values of the AT&T Center and Spurs Sports & Entertainment.

KRA’s (Key Responsibility Areas):

1) Assist Event Services Manager with planning, management, and coordination in front-of-house needs for event held at the AT&T Center. This will include aspects of event security, event resources and staffing logistics, promoter relations/contract administrations and guest services. Provide prospectus for upcoming events, informing all departments of special needs for events and work with the in-house staff to meet promoter’s request.
2) Serve as a primary liaison for event coordination (“game ops”) with AT&T Center tenant contacts (as assigned, could include any of the following: San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo, Spurs, Rampage, Silver Stars). Inform and follow up with all internal contacts on requested needs and last minute changes. Inspect and evaluate building readiness in preparation for events.
3) Serve as a secondary liaison for event coordination to the facility’s premium caterer (Levy Restaurants), concessionaire/novelties partner (Aramark), and other contracted vendors (example: guest services) as applicable.
4) Assist in daily maintenance of operations systems necessary to conduct event management. Establish and maintain other up-to-date records, event prospectus, pre- and post-event inspections and reports, inventory of all assets for settlement, ect., as required to ensure proper and timely coordination events.
5) Stay informed of new or evolving requirements associated with equipment, technology or protocol and policies used by the AT&T Center for event services management. Maintain an adequate level of proficiency in each of said areas.
6) Provide limited assistance with advance site inspections, tours and related stakeholder needs.
7) Participate in and actively attend Security Meetings, Marketing Meetings and other intra-department gatherings. Perform related duties as assigned.
8) Organize and maintain all equipment assigned to the Events Department. Keep logs or other records to track assignments, damage/replacement and other needed assistance.
9) Perform other duties as assigned by AT&T Center Management.
10) Ensure all work is performed in accordance with good industry practices and in compliance with all AT&T Center regulations, policies and procedures and in full support of Spurs Sports & Entertainment values.
 

Qualifications:
º Bachelor’s Degree in business, facility management, communications, marketing or related field (or equivalent related experience);
º Minimum two years of related full-time work experience preferably in event/facility coordination or project management;
º Excellent interpersonal skills; tenacious work ethic and strong, written communication skills.
º Must be detail-oriented and highly organized with an ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and adapt to change;
º Must be able to complete projects on schedule with a minimum amount of supervision and direction;
º Must be able to work long hours, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays;
º A proven track record of successful project coordination in all areas of event services, including budgeting is required.
º Experience working with a sports team, or in an entertainment-related venue preferred
º Proficiency in MS Windows and Office required.
º Experience in CAD or architectural-based desktop applications preferred but not required.

This position will be responsible for further developing, maintaining, generating, and increasing advertising partnerships for the San Antonio Silver Stars with a strong focus on relationship sales and customer retention. This person must provide extensive customer service and continual development of relationships with customers, co-workers, and corporate partners. The Account Executive is responsible for the sale, administration, and implementation of all accounts while serving as point of contact for partners.

7) Research, forecast, prepare, and track all partner promotional budgets.
8) Oversee and manage all partner contracts to ensure that all partner elements are fulfilled and activated (executed).
9) Assist, support and coordinate with all of the Partnership Sales and Game Operations staff with all aspects of promoting and managing all SS&E Franchise properties and other department responsibilities; including but not limited to, special projects and planning.
10) Compile, report, enter, collect, and track accurate information, billing, payments, and reports pertaining to proposals, budgets, and other account details into MARKETLINE / MATRYX.
 

Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to develop and generate new business
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and other computer skills required.
• Ability to work game nights, holidays, and weekends
