CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Under general direction of our Community Responsibiltiy Staff, the interns are responsible for assisting with general administrative duties, education programs, donation requests, ticket distributions, and event or fundraising support.  This internship provides an experience in community relations, event planning, fundraising, volunteerism, administration, organization, and non-profit business management.

Dates of Internship:  May  2013 – April  2014 (NBA REGULAR SEASON & MAY BE EXTENDED UNTIL JUNE 30TH.)
Pay:  $7.25/hr
Hours:  Range of 20-30 hrs/week

This position requires the intern to have a flexible schedule,  good communication, computer,  organizational and interpersonal skills as well as be detail and multi-task oriented.  This position requires the intern to take initiative on tasks and have the ability to work both independently and with a team.

• Assist with pick up of auction items (must have reliable transportation)

Education Programs
• Manage incentive fulfillment for programs
• Communicate with teachers, parents, and students regarding programs
• Assist with community events

POSSE and Staff Engagement
• Identify opportunities for POSSE to engage in community and support with coordinating these events
• Assist with external volunteer recruitment
• Update volunteer database, timesheets and other volunteer forms
• Responsible for quarterly POSSE Post and other volunteer communication

Silver & Black Give Back Fundraisers
• Submit all internal materials for in-arena fundraising promotions
• Work some game nights including weekends
• Assist with merchandise sales such as raffles or annual Spurs calendars
• Support the maintenance of online programming such as registrations, auctions, merchandise or the like.
• Maintain the inventory of SBGB specialty items from internal departments
• Oversee at least one in-arena fundraiser

Minimum Qualifications for position and INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:
• Must be a college Junior, Senior, enrolled in a Master’s program or recent college grad to apply
• Have excellent written, verbal and communication skills
• Be dependable and detail-oriented
• Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and work independently with limited supervision
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Computer experience in Microsoft Office programs including Access and Excel; Archtics knowledge a plus

POSITION: CONVERSION CREW MEMBER

CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Spurs Sports & Entertainment is seeking individuals who are available to work in an operational and dynamic environment. The conversion crew is responsible for setup of all events happening within the AT&T Center. Individuals must be dependable, able to lift 50-75 pounds, have good communication skills and work well in a team environment. Conversions are performed mainly overnight, labor intensive, and take place on week nights and/or weekends.

Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the facilities seating and event related equipment. This position will assist in the implementation of a department training program, safety program, and a preventative maintenance plan. Provide assistance as well as direction in the preparation of all events to include but not limited to set-up, operation and tear down. Provide and assist in the coordination between staff, potential client, and promoters as needed for the successful presentation of events. Other duties as assigned.

CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for coordinating all online digital marketing efforts for each SS&E Franchise.  The primiary requirement is the scheduling, designing, executing, tracking and reporting (revenue generation, sales, impressions, click thru and open rates) all e-news and online sales revenue for each SS&E entity.  The eligible candidate will service and deal with a diverse group of important internal contacts, team sponsors, league contacts, clients and visitors at all levels; independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. 

The candidate will oversee all database management in association with coordinating e-news communication. This includes ensuring unsubscribes, pulling lists from the database, deduplication of records, and continuously seeking ways to grow each respective franchise atabase. Duties include creating a comprehensive company-wide email schedule, communicating with the marketing team regarding ad copy, providing regular detailed campaign reports and analysis, email graphic layout and design, tracking all direct sales attributed to e-news communication, responding to email queries in regards to enews, and creating a proofing system to ensure quality and uphold a positive user experience.

The eligible candidate will promote a collaborative approach to creating comprehensive digital communication campaigns focused on driving site traffic and attaining campaign revenue goals.  The candidate must carry a multitude of qualifications, including but not limited to: ability to maintain confidential documents and files, handle multiple tasks, maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude and have strong organizational skills. 

This position will also seek out new, innovative technologies in an effort to improve the fan experience and support sales and marketing campaigns.

4. Prepares regularly scheduled e-newsletters, breaking news e-mails and targeted audience e-mails.  Schedules campaigns in advance, sends them on the fly or automates regular deliveries depending on campaign objectives. 
5. Manages E-News mailbox and responds to fan feedback sent from e-news and social network comments or mentions after reviewing with appropriate subject matter experts.
6. Ensures recipient preferences are current and accurate in the database.
7. Provides backup support to SS&E web team to ensure sites and pages consistent with content of e-communications.
8. Create regular tracking reports (revenue results, open rates, click-through rates, unsubscribe rates, etc.).
9. Be responsible for database management, including but not limited to removing duplicate and creation of targeted lists to market to.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will maintain established security policies and procedures that will protect Spurs Sports & Entertainment franchises, the AT&T Center, along with its assets, employees and guests. The person in this position must be able to control access into the AT&T Center, properties and its secured areas; patrol the facilities paying special attention to activities or situations that may breach security or pose a safety hazard. Successful employees in this position must possess the ability to quickly respond to alarms and emergency situations where an immediate decision to maintain a safe and security environment is required. Security Guards would be required to potentially take immediate action and decide how to effectively maintain a safe and secure environment.  Security Officers must have a basic understanding of security access control systems, protocols, CCTV and other security related equipment. Security Officers will have an understanding of basic security protocols and safety programs.

Web Services Specialist (Part-Time) - Spurs Sports & Entertainment (San Antonio, TX)

POSITION TITLE: Web Services Specialist
DEPARTMENT:  MARKETING

CAPSULE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for assisting with content production (website & social media) and daily web operations for each SS&E entity (spurs.com; attcenter.com; sasilverstars.com; sarampage.com, toros.com).  The eligible candidate will service and deal with a diverse group of important internal contacts, team sponsors, local and national media, league contacts, clients and visitors at all levels; independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. 
This position will also be responsible for creating content features and web design that will enhance the fan experience for each SS&E website.  The individual will cover content worthy events (includes: game night/event coverage – home & away; community events, etc.), assist with social media content creation, help with maintaining a regular detailed reporting systems to track and analyze campaign results, and support the execution of sponsorship and internal marketing communication campaigns.  It is essential that the qualified candidate be able to build strong relationships with various departments to create and share content, while mainting a focus on monetization opportunities.  The eligible candidate will promote a collaborative approach to creating comprehensive digital communication campaigns focused on driving site traffic and attaining campaign goals.  The candidate must carry a multitude of qualifications, including but not limited to: ability to maintain confidential documents and files, handle multiple tasks, maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude and have strong organizational skills. 
This position will also seek out new, innovative technologies in an effort to improve the fan experience and support sales and marketing campaigns.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrated alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaboration with key internal/external resources and 3) Ongoing self development.

KRA'S (KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS):
1. Daily content updates on SS&E franchise web sites and to ensure all content is fresh and accurate.
2. Conceptualize, build, produce and post written and video content across interactive channesl that enhance the fan experience and drives increased traffic
3. Seek ways to cross promote all interactive properties
4. Provide coverage for all content worthy events.  This includes game day coverage (home & away), community initiatives, player appearances, sponsorship events and post game locker room interviews.
5. Assist in maintaining reports of web and social media networks analytics and perform analysis to track visitor behavior.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:
The following measurement methods are intended to provide a sound basis for assessing the performance of the jobholder in this position. Although numerous methods are listed as suggested measurements the supervisor may elect to select only specific ones based on the need of the company at any point in time.
• Achievement of Business Unit’s strategic plan.
• Site Traffic for spurs.com, and sasilverstars.com – including but not limited to unique visitors, page views, vists, time spent on site.
• Social Media subscriber base numbers and interaction level
• Revenue driven through interactive channels – including by not limited to sponsorship and ticket sales.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism, design, web systems or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript as well as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, llustrator and Video editing software programs.
• Thorough understanding of content and web development processes.
• Ability to succeed in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and proven attention to detail
• Commitment to growth in values based leadership and development
• Must be able to work long, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
