Digital Design Intern - Seattle Storm (Seattel, WA)

What you will do:


  • Design graphics and layouts for both online and in-game media

  • Assist in updating, including post-game articles and video

  • Help create and deploy emails for mass marketing

  • Create marketing materials for other departments, like Sales and Partnerships

  • Help compile web analytics reports

  • Assist with department administrative functions as necessary

Knowledge, skills, and abilities


  • Excellent knowledge with the Adobe Suite (especially with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver), HTML, and CSS

  • Helpful, but not necessary, proficiency in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, and JQuery a plus

  • Previous Sporting Industry experience is also a plus

  • Ability to work independently and under a deadline

  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail

  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced and demanding environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Reliable and committed to making the most of your Storm internship

What you will learn:


  • How digital design fits in as part of a larger communications and marketing strategy

  • How to execute a project from start to finish; planning, implementation, and follow-up

  • What works to engage an audience, in this case Storm fans, through different forms of media

  • How the various parts of a professional sports organization work together and how the marketing and communications team supports them

  • What happens behind the scenes on game night

            Cool tricks of the trade
