Account Executive, Group Ticket Sales - Seattle Storm (Seattle, WA)

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, GROUP TICKET SALES

Overall Objectives:
Drive revenue and assist with achieving overall sales and attendance goals of the Seattle Storm by selling ticket products, with a primary focus on group events and experiences. Additionally, this role will be responsible for servicing existing ticket holder accounts to achieve optimal retention and escalation results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute sales and prospecting strategies to maximize revenue generation from the sale of Storm ticket products, with a primary focus on selling group events and experiences. Additionally, candidate will also be responsible for selling new full season tickets and multiple-game packages.
• Work with group leaders to develop and implement game day events and experiences that result in large ticket purchases and repeat business.
• Develop a pipeline to new customers to support long-term growth objectives.
• Meet weekly productivity requirements for out-bound call volume and prospecting meetings.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Participate in game night sales and service opportunities including hosting customers and prospects, making in-seat visits and staffing the Fan Information Booth.
• Attend team and community events for the purpose of making new connections and maximizing sales opportunities.
• Participate in ongoing sales and service training and other professional development opportunities.
• Influence and motivate peers to meet personal and team objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• 2 -5 years of direct selling and service experience; ticket sales experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills; experience with Ticketmaster’s Archtics software preferred.
• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Meet and/or exceed individual ticket sales revenue goals.
• Demonstrate ability to manage and grow a client base.
• Possess creative, strategic, and quantitative skills sets.
• Demonstrate a positive and team-oriented attitude.
• Able to work evenings and weekends at seasonal and community events.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manager of Group Ticket Sales. Full Seattle Storm employee benefits package.

Vice President of Marketing - Seattle Storm (Seattle, WA)

The Seattle Storm is currently seeking an individual for the position of Vice President of Marketing. Specific areas of focus include: advertising, market research and analytics, promotions, database and e-marketing as well as overall brand development, public relations, community relations, event presentation/operations, graphic design, video production and interactive marketing. This position is responsible for overseeing all marketing functions for the Storm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise all areas of the Marketing Group (marketing, promotions, advertising, event presentation/game operations, community relations, public relations, interactive/website development, social marketing/new media, creative services and broadcast)
• Interface with all departments in leading the development, implementation and analysis of sales and marketing campaigns
• Develop and administer quality database-building strategies and programs which result in positive ROI and reduce direct selling costs
• Analyze organizational data and supplementary research to aid sales and marketing strategy development
• Develop and implement e-marketing/online/new media strategies
• Oversee development and production of marketing and sales collateral materials
• Contribute to the development and execution of corporate/marketing partner activation strategies, including retail promotions, product sampling, gift with purchase, sweepstakes, premium item distribution and cause marketing initiatives
• Work with broadcast partners on fully integrated promotions to build exposure, increase ratings and expand fan base
• Maximize relationships with various media outlets and promotional partners
• Serve as a company spokesperson as needed
• Prepare and manage operating budgets
• Development initiatives to support new revenue opportunities
• Serve on the executive leadership team responsible for long-range planning and delivering sustained revenue growth
 

Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have 10 – 12 years of marketing experience including general marketing, advertising, retail marketing, promotions, partnership development. Other specific skills necessary include:
• Strong leadership and management abilities in the area of sales and marketing
• Proven track record of success growing revenues and expanding audience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in managing and implementing research methodologies
• Database marketing and/or research experience (sports marketing experience preferred)
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize simultaneously
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• Entrepreneurial spirit
