Account Representative, Season Memberships - Minnesota Timberwolves (Minneapolis, MN)

Summary/Objective
The primary focus of this position is to develop and nurture client relationships in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding areas with the focus on selling Full and Partial Season Ticket Inventory for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx.

Essential Functions

4. The minimum expectation is 200 points each week (calls = 1 point, meetings = 10 points).
5. Provide excellent customer service by creating unique touch points, promptly responding to requests or communications, and establishing a dynamic relationship with all customers.
6. Document all communication CRM.
7. Participate in educational opportunities on Timberwolves and Lynx product offerings, pricing and sales strategies, as well as market trends and industry best practices.

Reports to: Vice President of Ticket Sales & Service
Position Type: Full Time/Exempt/Regular
 

Summary/Objective
The Manager of Inside Sales will report to the Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service.  Position will work closely with the Director of New Membership Sales in the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans to achieve revenue targets, with a focus on growing Timberwolves Membership revenue.  Additionally, this individual will support all other areas of our business, as staff will be tasked with assisting in our group sales efforts, partial plans, and Minnesota Lynx.  Primary responsibilities of the Inside Sales Manager are to recruit, hire, motivate and teach a staff of 8 Inside Sales Associates.  These individuals will act as a feeder system to all of the other departments within the organization, critical due to the expected growth of the franchise over the next few seasons.       

Essential Functions

Continuously recruit and maintain a pipeline of potential "A+ candidates" whom possess the ability to succeed and are a fit within the culture of our organization.  Work closely with Human Resources to efficiently and effectively fill open positions, with a goal of hiring from your pipeline of candidates.  Partner with Director of New Membership Sales and other leaders within our team to identify potential development opportunities and the candidate(s) best suited for growth. 
2. Create and execute a training plan focused on the development of the Inside Sales Associates. Assume the role of educating Associates on all product offerings, pricing and sales strategies, as well as market trends and industry best practices. Support training efforts with daily/weekly practice and staff evaluation with a goal of being the best trained staff in sports and entertainment.
3. Research and identify potential new revenue opportunities and lead process to create a profitable business plan around each new product and offering.
4. Daily strategy and activity should clearly communicate a success formula for Associates in which Calls=Meetings=Relationships=Results.  Hold Associates accountable to the minimum hustle expectation of points per week through a combination of calls and meetings.  Proficiently use CRM to measure all department activities, potential opportunities and account strategies.
5. Set clearly defined daily, weekly, monthly and annual targets for all staff members, and provide training and guidance toward achieving individual and group goals.
6. Assist in developing the organization’s new sales plan including pricing, process, timelines, value proposition, resource allocation, as well as managing internal and external communication
7. Educate all departments on the integrated success of membership product offerings, pricing and sales strategies, as well as market trends and industry best practices.
8. Work with other department heads to develop strategies and tactics to reach and exceed determined revenue targets including: Full and Partial Memberships, Premium Seating and Group Tickets for the Timberwolves and Lynx sales.
9. Set examples and teach staff on the delivery of exceptional customer service with a goal of exceeding the expectations of each person whom we are in contact.  Strive to continuously enhance the experience for our fans, with a focus on achieving customer loyalty, maximizing relationships and growing our business.

This position is responsible for generating new revenue through the sale of club-controlled inventory in radio, signage and digital assets - as well as promotions, suites and other hospitality.

Position Summary: This person will aid the Web Editor and Director of Interactive Services with implementing the interactive media strategies and objectives including: reporting daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly traffic from Lynxbaketball.com, and all social networking platforms. Writing and reporting on the Timberwolves and Lynx; producing basic graphics using Adobe Creative Suite; updating content for Timberwolves.com and Lynxbasketball.com; conducting and transcribing interviews; working Lynx and Wolves home games; shooting photos/video and editing for Web site; and assisting with other Interactive Services department projects as needed.

Essential Functions:

General Duties:
Produce web traffic reporting from Lynxbasketball.com, and social media platforms. Generate web graphics for online use. Organize and execute events with fans. Implement updates/changes to websites, using league content management system. Conduct/transcribe/edit interviews with players, coaches and basketball operations staff. Edit daily articles and postgame stories for websites. Update/write content and engage with fans on social media sites.

Experience: Previous web/interactive media experience is preferred. Familiarity with HTML, Photoshop, photography is also preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Willing and able to work nights and weekends and all Lynx home games (before and after). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Photoshop. Strong writing skills. Experience with sports-specific writing and/or broadcasting is preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills. Ability to multi-task under time constraints. Ability to work with a wide variety of people.
