Title: Director of Sponsorship

Reports To: President/COO

Summary
The Director, Sponsorship is responsible for generating leads and closing advertising and sponsorship partnerships for the team. This person should be an outgoing, energetic and creative sales professional who is a clear self starter with strong relationship skills who will be responsible for the development of corporate marketing partnerships for the Atlanta Dream. This sales professional will integrate signage, promotions, internet advertising, hospitality, tickets and all other marketing resources in the development and sale of these corporate marketing relationships.

Responsibilities
• Sell new corporate partner relationships
• Develop dynamic sales presentations for new business prospects; design PowerPoint proposals incorporating research of category dynamics and clear understanding of the prospective partner's marketing goals
• Provide accurate, reliable information for sales forecasts and prepare weekly revenue reports
• Manage and ensure fulfillment of all corporate partner programs in association with the department head and sponsor services area
• Establish strong relationships throughout partner companies
• Identify local and national trends and emerging markets, and adjust sales/service strategies accordingly
• Research and write business action plans to support new business directions
• Liaise with other departments on sponsored programs (e.g., community relations, game presentation, ticket sales & service)
• Meet or exceed revenue goals
• Other related duties as required

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of sponsorship or related sales experience
• Strong existing advertising agency and client relationships
• Television broadcast sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of the advertising business preferred
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to interact effectively and in a professional, diplomatic, and mature manner with VIP’s as well as internal and external clients at all levels
• High level of initiative and inner drive
• Candidate must have excellent problem solving skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
• The ability to generate new and creative sales ideas
• Candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Candidate must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Powerpoint, Word and Excel
